
IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern remains the same as the previous year's IISER Entrance Exam. The exam was conducted in a computer-based test. IAT 2025 applicants' subject knowledge will be tested based on the format of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the exam.
IAT 2025 mock test link will be activated soon for the test takers to practice the exam questions in the predefined exam pattern and timings. There will be only 60 MCQs that the exam authority will ask from the mentioned IISER syllabus 2025.
Last year, the marking scheme of the exam was modified. The only change that was made by the exam conducting body is the marks earned for each correct answer. Earlier, the examination was 180 marks, but now the maximum mark of the examination is 240 marks.

IISER Entrance Exam 2025 Highlights
The IISER exam is held once a year in online mode by the exam conducting authority, the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research. There are a total of 240 scores in the IISER Question paper, and the exam language is English. For each correct answer, one will get 4 marks, and for every incorrect answer, one mark will be subtracted. Students must visit the IAT official portal to go through the upcoming events and dates related to the IAT exam.

IISER Exam pattern for the academic session 2026-27 is yet to be announced. However, last year pattern remains to be same as of the previous year of IISER Entrance Exam which was also conducted in online mode i.e., computer-based. The IISER Entrance Exam Marking Scheme is mentioned below:
There are a total of four subjects in the IISER exam, and each section has a total of 15 questions, and every section has 60 marks. Students should know that the questions are asked from Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and Chemistry. The IAT question paper is of 240 marks and has 60 questions in total.
Marking scheme: Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer. There will be a negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.
