Phase 1: Day 1–5 – Concept Revision and Foundation Strengthening

  • As these are the crucial hours of the TSEdCET exam, candidates must allot more time to Focus on strengthening your basics in General English and Methodology.
  • Practice comprehension passages, and vocabulary.
  • Go through Teaching Aptitude theories and revise General Knowledge.

Phase 2: Day 6–10 – Practice

  • Solve one full-length mock test every alternate day. TSEdCET provides mock tests free of cost on its website. Candidates can also refer to the mock tests from third-party apps and websites.
  • Analyze your performance daily by checking your accuracy, time management skills, and focus on your weak areas.
  • Attempt past year and sample questions. You can download the question papers from the official website and also from third-party websites.
  • Increase focus on Methodology as it carries the highest weightage and is a scoring exam.

Phase 3: Day 11–14 – High-Yield Revision and Targeted Practice

  • During the revision process, candidates must use short notes, flashcards, formulas, and teaching techniques to sharpen up their revision skills.
  • Focus on time management skills. The best way to do this is to use timers to attempt 25–30 questions in 20 minutes. This way, candidates will be able to increase their question-solving abilities.
  • Revisit your incorrect questions from mock tests and learn from them.

Day 15 – Light Revision and Strategy Planning

  • As the exam is just over, it is advised that candidates not pick heavy topics. Use revising notes and important concepts. Check the TSEdCET admit card and read the instructions carefully.
  • Focus on building exam-day confidence.
  • Review your plan for attempting sections: Start with the strongest, and manage time wisely.
  • Stay relaxed and sleep well before the exam.

  • Avoid guesswork during the exam, although there is no negative marking in the exam.
  • For General English, don’t skip practice even if you’re fluent. Confidence is good, but overconfidence kills the fun.
  • For GK and Teaching Aptitude, use crisp books like Lucent and NCERT summaries.
  • Focus extensively on the chosen methodology subject.

  • Don’t skip mock test analysis – it's more valuable than the test itself.
  • Don’t over-rely on theory – mix revision with practice.
  • Don’t ignore the General English section – every mark matters.

While preparing for the TSEdCET 2026 exam, candidates must follow the daily schedule. They must allot at least 1 hour for General English and 1.5 hours daily or Methodology Subject, as it is high scoring exam. 30 minutes for General Knowledge is sufficient, followed by 1 hour for Teaching Aptitude & Daily Revision. During the preparation of the TSEdCET exam, student must ensure that they attempt at least 150 MCQs per day from Methodology and practice reading passages, cloze tests, and sentence correction also read 2–3 current affairs summaries per day to keep track of the happenings around their surroundings.
