The National Council of Educational Research and Training releases the RIE CEE 2026 exam pattern. The pattern consists of test sections, topics, marking scheme, time duration, etc. As per the latest pattern, RIE CEE exam has separate question papers for three groups. RIE CEE Marking Scheme
RIE CEE follows a well-defined marking scheme. Each question carries specific marks. There is negative marking for incorrect responses. Candidates are advised to attempt only those questions they are confident about to avoid negative marking. The detailed marking scheme for current session is provided in the table below.

RIE CEE Sections and Important Topics
RIE CEE 2026 has separate question papers for Groups A, B, and C. Each group assesses candidates’ subject knowledge and aptitude relevant to their chosen program. Group A focuses on higher secondary-level knowledge. Group B tests concepts from graduation-level studies. Group C evaluates understanding from both graduation and professional education levels.

- Candidates with at least 50% marks in either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or in any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme
- relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
As of now, no information is released about RIE CEE exam. The candidates will find out once the notification is issued.
RIE CEE exam is conducted by NCERT for candidates who wish to get admission in BSc BEd, BA BEd, and MSc BEd, BEd-MEd, and MA Education Technology. The examination is conducted in July on behalf of 7 regional institute of education in different parts of the county.
At least 50% in the qualifying exam (relaxable to 45% for reserved categories) is required to be eligible to sit for the exam. The RIE CEE 2026 qualifying marks will be based on the weightage formula that includes 60% weightage to RIE CEE exam score and 40% weightage to qualifying exam marks
The application fee for RIE CEE 2026 depends on the candidate's category. The exact amount will be mentioned in the official notification.
Depending on the course, there are subject requirements in RIE CEE. But, the candidate must have atleast 50% in their 10+2, and they need to clear the exam with atleast 60% score.
The candidate is required to clear the RIE CEE exam to get admission. The process starts with application form filling. After qualifying the test, you can get enrolled by counselling.
General candidates often need 60-70% marks (or higher in RIE CEE) and OBC/SC/ST candidates need progressively lower marks.
