The National Council of Educational Research and Training releases the RIE CEE exam pattern. The pattern consists of test sections, topics, marking scheme, time duration, etc. As per the latest pattern, RIE CEE exam has separate question papers for three groups. Group A is for BSc BEd/ BA BEd/ MSc BEd courses. Group B is for BEd course. Group C is for MEd. Getting familiar with the RIE CEE exam pattern will help candidates understand the question paper. The RIE CEE exam will have three sections- Language Proficiency, Teaching Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The maximum score will be 160. Each question shall carry 2 marks. For every incorrect answer, 0.5 will be deducted.

Minimum Marks: 45–50% aggregate (relaxation for reserved categories) for RIE CEE exam.

RIE CEE Marking Scheme

RIE CEE follows a well-defined marking scheme. Each question carries specific marks. There is negative marking for incorrect responses. RIE CEE conducts separate question papers for Groups A, B, and C, with each group designed to assess candidates’ subject knowledge and aptitude according to their selected programme. Group A evaluates knowledge based on the higher secondary level, while Group B focuses on concepts covered during graduation. At least 50% in qualifying exam (relaxable to 45% for reserved categories) is required to be eligible to sit for exam. RIE CEE qualifying marks will be based on weightage formula that includes 60% weightage to RIE CEE exam score and 40% weightage to qualifying exam marks
