Rooms are neat, clean, and spacious, with a separate bed table and chair and a separate almirah. In the summer, coolers can be requested by students. Every hostel at AMU has one common room and one reading room. Clean bathrooms with hot and cold water and clean, filtered cold water coolers are also present in every hostel.

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including  BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses. 

For undergraduate admission to courses, including BA (Hons), BVoc and BSc (Hons) through CUET-UG, candidates must have a valid CUET-UG score. For BA (Hons) admission, candidates must have to attempt the Domain/ General/ Languages sections of CUET while appearing for the entrance test along with the minimum eligibility criteria set by AMU. Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Considering the Round 5 score for the General AI category, it is possible to get into Aligarh Muslim University at a cutoff rank of 7000. STEP 1: Registration

Visit AMU's official website to register for counselling. The payment for admission may also be had to be paid on the same portal. 

STEP 2: Provisional Admission

After counselling, provisional admission shall be granted to the shortlisted candidates. 

STEP 3: Document Verification & Physical Reporting

After selection, candidates have to report physically at the university and submit a list of documents. Candidates must carry original documents.

AMU accepts the NEET SS exam rank for admission to various courses. The first and the last round minimum closing rank for admission was 2082, for MCh in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Therefore, for admission to AMU, a candidate would need to secure AMU NEET SS rank of at least 2082 to have a chance at admission.
