For undergraduate admission to courses, including BA (Hons), BVoc and BSc (Hons) through CUET-UG, candidates must have a valid CUET-UG score. For BA (Hons) admission, candidates must have to attempt the Domain/ General/ Languages sections of CUET while appearing for the entrance test along with the minimum eligibility criteria set by AMU. Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. AMU BSc admission process begins with applying for the entrance exam. The university conducts AMU entrance exam (AMU EE) to admit students to its BSc programme. The AMU EE dates vary from year to year. In 2024, the application process strated in March and continued till the thrid week of April. Admission to some BSc courses at AMU is based on CUET UG scores. AMU offers MSc as a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. To be eligible to pursue MSc at AMU, candidates must have scored at least 55% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MSc at some other college or university. AMU has a pre-defined set of eligiblity criteria for admission to the various BSc specialisations that it provides. The eligibility crietra vary across the specialisations. In general, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% in Class 12 with relevant Science subjects to be eligible for BSc admission at AMU. AMU conducts its own entrance test called Aligarh Muslim University Common Admission Test (AMU-CAT) for admission to the MBA course. The Admission Test shall be held at Aligarh, Kolkata & Kozhikode.
