AMU has started online application process for AMU entrance exam 2023. The application of AMU Entrance Exam 2025 will be released online on the official website; i.e. amucontrollerexams.com. The exam schedule for AMU entrance exam 2025 mentioning application dates for different courses will be released too. AMU BA LLB 2025 is likely to be conducted in May. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate or postgraduate courses must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the AMU entrance exam 2025 as prescribed by the university. The eligibility criteria mention academic qualifications, minimum marks, and age limit required for admission to courses offered through AMU entrance exam 2023.

AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria for UG courses

Here is the course-wise eligibility criteria for AMU admission test 2025 offering undergraduate courses at its various constituent colleges is as under:

Age limit 

BSc courses in Home Science, Agriculture, Life Sciences

Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Science subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology/ Geography/ Computer Science/ Home Science or equivalent exam. Also, English should be among the main subjects of Class 12 examination. 

They should have secured at least 50% marks in Class 12 examinations

24 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BA courses 

Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination from a recognised education board, or Bridge Course-Senior Secondary School Certificate from AMU, or

An equivalent Degree/ Sanad from AMU recognized Madarsa/ Institution in India

They should have secured 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam. 

24 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BA in Foreign Languages

Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination from a recognised education board, or Bridge Course-Senior Secondary School Certificate from AMU. 

They should have secured 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam

24 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BA LLB course

Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination from a recognised education board, or Bridge Course-Senior Secondary School Certificate from AMU. 

They should have secured 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam. 

22 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BCom course

Candidates should have qualified SSC exam or an equivalent exam with English, and one of the following subjects Accountancy / Economics / Business Studies / Commerce / Banking / Entrepreneurship / Mathematics / Computer Science / Business Administration / Financial Markets Management, or 

Diploma in Secretarial Practice examination of AMU

They should have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination

24 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BVoc course

Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination from a recognised education board. 

They should have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination

24 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BSc Nursing course

Candidates who have qualified the SSC exam from AMU or an equivalent board exam. They should have studied the subject combination Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) along with English Core / English Elective 

They should have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate of subject combination - PCB.

17 years or above as on December 31, 2025. 

Q:   How many seats are offered for AMU BSc course?
A:

Aligarh Muslim University offers a three-year full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Apart from the BSc course, the University also offers BSc (Hons) courses. AMU admission to the BSc course is based on candidates' performance in an entrance test conducted by the University. The total seat intake for the AMU BSc course is approximately 1260. AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria for PG courses

Here is the course-wise eligibility criteria for all postgraduate courses to be offered on the basis of AMU admission test 2025:

Age limit

LLM course

Candidates holding three-years LLB or five-years LLB degree from a recognised law college or university. 

They should have obtained at least 55% marks in the qualifying law degree

27 years or less as on July 1, 2025

MBA course

Candidates holding a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised college or university. 

They should have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying law degree

No age restrictions 

MCA course

Candidates holding a bachelor degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Architecture / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Computer Maintenance from a recognised college or university, or 

A BSc/ BA/ BCom degree with at least 2 courses of Computer Sciences Govt. approved mode at 10 2/graduation level OR complete the Bridge course from the Department in the first semester of MCA at AMU.

Candidates must have studied mathematics in class 12 or equivalent exam. 

They should have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying law degree

27 years or less as on July 1, 2025

BEd

Candidates holding a BA/ BSc/BCom/ BTh with relevant subjects or a Master’s degree in Science / Social Sciences / Humanities with 50% marks,  or

Bachelor in Engineering & Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.

Note: Candidates with Malayalam / Bengali subject will only be considered as School Subject at Malappuram / Murshidabad Centres respectively.These subjects will not be considered as School Subject for AMU Aligarh

BLibSc

Candidates holding a BA/ BSc/BCom/ BTh or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks

Yes, candidates who wish to apply for BBA admissions at AMU must appear for the AMU entrance exam to qualify. Unlike other UG level course admissions, AMU only accepts the scores of its inhouse written test to decide the admissions to the BBA course.

The application fee for the AMU BA LLB 2026 entrance exam is INR 1,000. The application form can be submitted online via the AMU Controller of Exam website. A late fee of INR 300 is applicable for submissions after the deadline.
