Admission is through Research Entrance Test (Ret) 2021 And Direct Admission (RET- Exempted) ( NET /JRF qualified candidates are exempted from RET).
(a) Qualifying Examination: Master’s degree in Business Management (M.B.M.), Management Studies/ Management Sciences (M.M.S.), Business Administration (M.B.A.), International Business Administration (M.I.B.A.), International Business (M.I.B.), M.B.A. (Agri-Business) or two year PGP/PGDM declared equivalent to Master’s Degree in Management by AIU/accredited by AICTE/UGC or First class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.
(b) Qualifying Marks: At least 60% in the aggregate or equivalent grade point average in the qualifying examination.
BHU admission 2025 to the undergraduate courses is based on CUET UG scores. BHU merit list 2025 for CUET UG has been released. As per the BHU cutoff 2025, the minimum CUET UG cutoff score was 94 for B.Ed. in Special Education (Visual Impaired - Social Science and Humanities), followed by 191 for B.Ed. in Mathematics. Therefore, according to the BHU Round 4 Seat Allotment result, the minimum cutoff score stood at 94 for the General AI quota. Please note that the minimum required cutoff score for admission varies for different rounds and categories.
Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score for 2025, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.
IMS BHU offers a full-time Diploma in Dental Mechanic. The total fee for the programme is INR 50,000. It must be paid in two annual instalments of INR 25,000 each. It must be noted that the mentioned fee is sourced from the official website of the college/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.
Candidates who have completed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate can apply for Banaras Hindu University BA (Hons) course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, aspirants must also pass CUET-UG for admission to BA (Hons) programme.
IMS BHU offers a 4-year UG-level BSc (Nursing) course. It can be challenging to get into IMS BHU for BSc (Nursing), given the fact that the cut-offs are high and the seat intake is 100. Candidates must qualify Class 12 or equivalent with subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English). Candidates must seek the Class 12 qualification from a recognised Board/ University with at least 45% marks and also qualify the entrance exams considered for the admission process by the Institute.
Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. The total seat intake for Banaras Hindu University BTech course is 60. Additionally, there are 1,563 seats at IIT BHU as well. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech course must visit the CUET-UG official website to apply for the entrance exam. It must be noted that the mentioned seat details are as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.
BTech CSE is not available at the BHU main campus. However, the Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT-BHU) offers BTech in Computer Science & Engineering. Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. The University offers BTech courses in Dairy Technology and Food Technology. CSE is the most popular course offered through IIT-BHU

The selection of the students for the MTech courses is based on the GATE entrance exams, and the students must have qualified graduation degree with a minimum of 50%.
The institute requires a valid GATE scorecard for admission to the MTech courses. In case a candidate doesn't have a valid GATE score card, then marks out of 100 are considered, but preference is given to GATE-qualified candidates only.
