BHU Placements 2026: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Recruiters

BHU MCA placement data 2026 is not released. However, as per NIRF report 2026, median package received during PG 2-year placements 2025 was 9 LPA. In addition, 1372 PG 2-year students were placed in 2025.

BHU Commerce department placement report 2026 is not released. Nevertheless, during overall PG 2-year placements 2025, 1372 students were placed and 2983 students were selected for higher studies out of total 4472 graduating students in 2025.

The minimum CUET scores required for BHU admission would differ based on category, course and rounds. For the General AI category, the minimum score accepted in the first round was 73.

The hostel fee structure for BHU is INR 3,000 - INR 4,000 per semester depending upon the degree. The hostel fee does not include mess charges. Banaras Hindu University is spread across a 1,300-acre campus. There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls. Additionally, there is separate accommodation for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance system, etc.

 Yes, you can get into BHU with a score of 50 if you belong to the General AI category. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for different PG-level courses based on the CUET PG entrance exam. 

For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 11 to 250. Students can see the table below to know which courses can be availed with a score of 50.

MBA at BHU is worth it for candidates who prioritise Return on Investment or ROI. IMS BHU offers an MBA at a fairly affordable tuition fee of INR 1.2 lakh. As per the latest placement data for the batch of 2026, the median salary for MBA students stood at INR 9.2 LPA. And the average package was INR 10.1 LPA. However, for high-end corporate packages, candidates can explore the Top Private MBA Colleges in India.

BHU cutoff 2025 was released for multiple specialisations. Based on the last round cutoff, the closing ranks varied between 1489 and 14447 for the General AI quota. So, if you belong to the General category, you must target to secure JEE Advanced cutoff rank of up to 14447 or below to secure a seat at IIT BHU for BTech admission. For top branches like CSE and Mathematics and Computing, the maximum required cutoff ranks for admission were 1489 and 1924 in the last round.

Banaras Hindu University BTech is offered in different specialisations. It is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BHU BTech admission is done as per CUET exam scores. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can go to the CUET website to apply. 

CAT is compulsory to take admission in MBA and MBA IB courses offered by the Institute of Management Studies of BHU (formerly known as FMS BHU). Admission to these courses is based on candidates' performance in CAT, GD-PI and past academic records.

However, candidates seeking admission to the MBA courses offered by other departments of BHU are not required to take CAT. Admission to these MBA courses is through CUET PG. These courses include MBA in Food & Agribusiness Management, MBA in Financial Management, MBA in Foreign Trade, and MBA Risk & Insurance.

BHU counselling process for BA LLB (CAP-UG) starts in second/ third week of July. The counselling process continues till August end. The seats are allotted in multiple rounds on the basis of entrance merit. 

BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the 4th round for different All India quota categories for the UG-level courses. The round 4 cutoff ranged from 53 to 145 for the General AI category. The Internship & Placement Committee (IPC) at the Faculty of Law, BHU, takes care of all the placement-related activities at the institute. BHU B.A. LL.B. Placement is initiated each year in the month of July and goes on till the month of May next year. BHU LL.B. Placements start with handing out invitation letters to various firms, advocates and other organisations for the recruitment process. Interested companies submit the completed form and candidates are shortlisted against the requirements mentioned by the organisations. Aptitude tests are also conducted if needed. The interview session for placements starts every year in the month of November. As per the external sources, a major portion of Banaras Hindu University alumni is placed in the Education sector (19%) followed by Research (15%) and Business Development (11%). The college website comprises little to no data on the placement package. However, as per the external sources, the highest CTC of INR 10 LPA is offered during BHU LL.B. Placements. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of the top-ranking universities in the country. In the NIRF rankings in 2023, BHU is ranked in fifth position under the "university" category. Moreover, as per the university NIRF report 2023, 480 UG (three-year) students were placed out of 3,564. The median package given to the placed candidates stood at INR 8 LPA. BHU admission process for UG courses has officially closed .Only the candidates who have appeared for CUET UG were eligible to register for this counselling process.

BHU does not accept JEE Main scores for BTech course admission. The interested students need to take the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for selection. Students who get shortlisted based on exam score have to take part in counselling. The seats are allotted in this round only. 

Yes, BHU offers an integrated BA LLB Hons programme. It is offered for five years by the faculty of law. Admissions in the course are based on CUET UG scores. The eligibility to apply is Class 12 with at least 50% marks (General). 

Yes, IIT BHU is recognised by UGC and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). IIT BHU has been ranked 15 by NIRF 2023 under the Engineering category. The college is also ranked 531 by QS World University Rankings 2025. The institute has 15 departments through which it offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral-level courses in Engineering, Architecture, Science and Pharmacy streams. Admission to all these courses is based on various national-level entrance exams such as JEE Advanced, JEE Main, NATA, IIT JAM, etc.
