BHU Placements 2026: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Recruiters

BHU MCA placement data 2026 is not released. However, as per NIRF report 2026, median package received during PG 2-year placements 2025 was 9 LPA. In addition, 1372 PG 2-year students were placed in 2025.

BHU Commerce department placement report 2026 is not released. Nevertheless, during overall PG 2-year placements 2025, 1372 students were placed and 2983 students were selected for higher studies out of total 4472 graduating students in 2025.

The complete five-year integrated law programme involves a total expenditure of INR 3.86 Lakhs. This complete amount includes the core academic tuition fee of INR 3.62 Lakhs for ten semesters. Students can deposit this multi-component fee online through the official university payment gateway to lock their BHU BA LLB seats.

CAT is compulsory for admission to the MBA and MBA IB courses offered by the Institute of Management Studies (formerly known as FMS BHU). Admission to these courses is based on candidates' performance in CAT, GD-PI and past academic records.

However, candidates seeking admission to the MBA courses offered by other departments are not required to take CAT. Admission to these MBA courses is through CUET PG. These courses include MBA in Food & Agribusiness Management, MBA in Financial Management, MBA in Foreign Trade, and MBA in Risk & Insurance.

BHU is the largest residential university in Asia. University provides a wide range of facilities including separate medical complexes for students and staff, sports and hobbies centers, Internet facilities and units like Public Relations Cell, Printing Press, Preservation Centers, Agricultural research farms, Poultry Farms, Pisciculture, Radio Station, Petrol Pump, ATMs, Banks, Post Office, Subsidized Canteens, a NCC barrack and its own Security Force.

BHU does not accept JEE Main scores for BTech course admission. The interested students need to take the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for selection. Students who get shortlisted based on exam score have to take part in counselling. The seats are allotted in this round only. 

The Internship & Placement Committee (IPC) at the Faculty of Law, takes care of all the placement-related activities at the institute. BHU B.A. LL.B. Placement is initiated each year in the month of July and goes on till the month of May next year. BHU LL.B. Placements start with handing out invitation letters to various firms, advocates and other organisations for the recruitment process. Interested companies submit the completed form and candidates are shortlisted against the requirements mentioned by the organisations. Aptitude tests are also conducted if needed. The interview session for placements starts every year in the month of November. As per the external sources, a major portion of Banaras Hindu University alumni is placed in the Education sector (19%) followed by Research (15%) and Business Development (11%). The college website comprises little to no data on the placement package. However, as per the external sources, the highest CTC of INR 10 LPA is offered during LL.B. Placements. No, CAT is not necessary for MBA at BHU. The university offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the University (bhu.ac.in) to apply online. BHU MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the CAT entrance test. The final selection is based on the student's performance in the GD & PI rounds. However, for admission to the MBA special courses of study, candidates can get admission with a valid CUET-PG score. Apart from this, the course aspirants must fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements as well.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of the top-ranking universities in the country. In the NIRF rankings in 2023, BHU is ranked in fifth position under the "university" category. Moreover, as per the university NIRF report 2023, 480 UG (three-year) students were placed out of 3,564. The median package given to the placed candidates stood at INR 8 LPA. Of course. BHU is one of the most renowned universities of the country and it offers aided education to students from all categories and classes of the society. It has special reservation policies for students belonging to the weaker sections of the society. Additionally, the university also offers scholarships to the female students to encourage more and more participation of the women in the academia of the university.

The minimum CUET scores required for BHU admission would differ based on category, course and rounds. For the General AI category, the minimum score accepted in the first round was 73.

The score needed for BEd course admission at BHU would depend on the category and round you are applying in. For the General AI category, the round 3 cutoff ranged from 30 to 177 for several BEd course specialisations. So, students in this category need a score of at least 30.

Admissions for this five-year integrated course depend entirely on national-level entrance scores. Students looking for a seat must sit for the CUET UG exam conducted by the NTA. The final shortlisting relies on merit rankings.

The hostel fee structure for BHU is INR 3,000 - INR 4,000 per semester depending upon the degree. The hostel fee does not include mess charges. Banaras Hindu University is spread across a 1,300-acre campus. There are 41 hostels for boys and 21 for girls. Additionally, there is separate accommodation for international students. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, a common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance system, etc.

Yes. Banaras Hindu University mandates that students take Physics, Chemistry, and Biology during their final board exams. Skipping any of these fundamental Science sections removes your application from the pool. You must produce valid pass certificates issued by your school board. 

BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.

Overall BHU highest package for batch 2026 is yet to be released. MBA & MBA IB batch 2026 secured the highest package of INR 19.8 LPA. For MBA Agri-Business top salary was INR 16 LPA.

As per BHU NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to UG (5-Year) course was INR 15 LPA. Moreover, as per media reports, the overall the highest and average package offered during 2023 placements stood at INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 23.13 LPA, respectively.
