Q: How is the college life at Assam University?

Beyond the several prestigious academic divisions, a student takes into account the various facilities that every educational site has to offer while selecting their dream college. A student is defined as such by more than just their academic performance. Instead, the possibility that he or she will have access to on-campus resources will likewise stimulate their growth. Assam University's infrastructure and facilities provide all a student needs for his or her whole growth, taking into account the campus's infrastructure. The facilities include:

Hostel: There are at present nine hostels, four for boys and five for girls, on the university campus. The hostels are furnished with basic facilities like drinking water, a green generator, and a serving of cooked food.

Library: Facilities provided by the library include reading and lending services, reference services, reprint services, literature searches, photocopying, and CD-ROM searches. Besides these, access to the internet is provided to students through 40 terminals.

This is one of the best universities for the M.Sc. in Earth Sciences course.

Placements: In my study, 70% of students got placements in the last batch. The highest package is 10 LPA. Coal India Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, Schlumberger, etc., are the top companies for our study. 65% of students got internships from my course this year. Scientist and consultant are some of the high-level roles offered, and the course also provides high-quality services.

Infrastructure: There are a few small libraries and research centers on campus. The university lacks infrastructure compared to older universities, but it is good enough. The football team is recognized at other universities as well. The university has wonderful hostels, with vacant rooms. Water regulations ensure that buildings are adequately cooled even in summer.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, although some find it difficult to communicate with students. The courses are fresh and rewarding, and semester exams are tough, but grades are quite easy, so they're manageable. Most courses are passable, while some courses, due to strong assumptions and rigid teachers, are difficult to crack.

Overall, it's good but not excellent.

Placements: Placements were zero, undoubtedly because this batch doesn't have any job scope for which recruiters will come to us. As for companies, there's none. Percentage of internship, you can say we do get a lot of experiments but internships are not there, except we go outside for experiments.

Infrastructure: Hostel is not that good. Three students are to be fitted into a room where it's difficult to live, as for Wi-Fi there is no Wi-Fi. But there is Wi-Fi in the library and campus. There are games and sports facilities but limited. Food quality in hostel is not good either.

Faculty: There are indeed some good teachers but again mostly have done B.Ed before starting this course, since we barely have any job scope. Course curriculum is relevant to the exam and paper. But again, practical life utilisation might not be that good.

Overall, the best university for M.Sc. in ecology and environment science course.

Placements: Almost 76% of students are admitted to our university. Companies like Reliance Industries, GAIL Limited, ONGC, etc., visit our campus for placements. The highest salary offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest salary offered is 3 LPA. Approximately 66% of students from our study received internships at the university. The top roles offered are environment manager, ecological modeler, and so on.

Infrastructure: The university offers excellent facilities, such as classrooms equipped with LCD projectors. Wi-Fi access. Meeting space. Good automobiles are also available. A good library that has every book available. There are CCTV cameras in every classroom. The hostel has excellent facilities as well. Good dinner in a lovely, tidy room. Numerous sports are available, including cricket, volleyball, and others. Large lot with the right equipment and tools.

Faculty: Every student gets a good job in prestigious and prestigious companies, the curriculum is excellent. The university offers good career training for the future and good experience. Educated, knowledgeable, and experienced faculty members and highly supportive. Semester exams are easy and the pass rate is 77%.

My honest review of my college.

Placements: Our college has a wide range of job opportunities in government assistance well as in the private sector. It all depends on your skills and attitude on cracking an interview. Also, they have contact with many other companies for student internships.

Infrastructure: Our course structure is divided into four semesters, 6 months each. During each semester, we study 7-9 subjects, including both core and elective subjects. First two semesters, we study all the subjects related to all the streams. For the last two semesters, we opt for specializations. My program is a dual specialization program, thus, I opt for International Business and Marketing. Internal and external exams are conducted in order to evaluate students. The college has a hostel on the college premises, but now that hostel building has been transformed into the administrative block.

Faculty: I chose this course because I'm interested in it, and it gives me lots of opportunities after the completion of the course. After the completion, you apply for the NET, GATE, and other Oil & Mining companies. The semester final exams are held every 5 months, and in between that, there are two sessional exams. There are 5 faculty members in the department, and they are very calm, cool, and good. Their experiences are awesome, and the students in each batch are a maximum of 25. There are a total of four semester exams, and in every semester, there are two sessional examinations.

Overall, it's the best university for the M.Sc. in Physics course.

Placements: Students with a CGPA above 7 years get placed. The minimum salary offered is 3 LPA, and the maximum salary offered ranges from 22 LPA to 33 LPA. Google, Microsoft, IBM, and many other companies visit our campus and offer rewards packages to students. Interviews, research tests, etc., are conducted. Top jobs offered are Physicist, Engineer, etc. 70% of students get internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: There are good facilities and good Wi-Fi in the college. The campus is very big and spacious, with both the campus and the hostel in the college, with good labs, classrooms, and a library. The quality of the hostel is very decent, and the security is tight, with the right time and all. The mess food is really good in the hostel, and the sports and games are not really up to par.

Faculty: The faculty members are great and very supportive. The curriculum is also good, and examinations are well-regulated by the college. The intensity of the test is great. The teaching quality is great, with some of my teachers, but some not so great, but still has a great experience. The pass rate is 73%.

Placements are not good. The campus is awesome. Faculties are good.

Placements: There are no placements in our course. In the past, there were placement opportunities for students but nowadays there are no placements in this course. Talking about internships, students get opportunities in different fields like Oil India Limited, ONGC, ISRO, and in other institutes like Wadiya Institute of Himalayan Geology, etc.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are great with smart boards and enough space. There are 2 smart classrooms for the master's students and for the PhD students, there is a separate room. The lab facility is also good. There are a lot of equipment, microscopes, and other lab materials. There are 24/7 Wi-Fi on the campus and hostels.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Their qualities are enough. They have knowledge in this field. It is awesome. The teaching quality is very good and meaningful. They want to share their valuable knowledge and concepts with the students. This course is also good for those who want to make their career in global oil and mining companies. These subjects give you a lot of research opportunities in the present and future. The semester exams are not much difficult. It's moderate if you always attend the classes and clear all the concepts of your syllabus.
