M.P.A. in Dance (Kathak) 

at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi

Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Music/ Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance (Kathak) with the mentioned marks in aggregate including Theory and Practical and 55% marks in aggregate in Dance Practical also.  OR  Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Arts in the concerned subject  i.e.  Dance  (Kathak) as a Major subject from a recognized University with the mentioned marks in aggregate including Theory and Practical and 55% marks  in aggregate in Dance Practical. OR Candidates must have passed Bachelor Degree in any discipline with the mentioned marks in aggregate  in the qualifying Degree. In addition to it, the candidate must have qualified in any one of the following Diploma(s) with the aggregate 55% marks in Dance practical : (a) Sangeet Prabhakar (06 Years) (Nriyta)  Exam of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj,  (b) Sangeet Visharad  (05 Years) (Nritya) Exam of the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow,  (c) Sangeet Visharad  (Nritya)  exam of Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai; (d) Vid (06 Years)  (Nritya)  exam of Indra Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh), (e) Sangeet Bhaskar (06 Years)  (Nritya)  of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh;  (f) Vid (06 Years)  (Nritya)  of Raja Maan Singh Tomar University, Gwalior; (g) Sangeet Prabudha  (06 Years) (Nritya) Exam of Bhatkhande Music Institute (Deemed University), Lucknow,  (h) Examination of 3 years Diploma (Hons) of Kathak Kendra, National Institute of Kathak Dance, New Delhi. (i)  Any other equivalent diploma course in Dance run by the institutions of Government of India OR  State Government, having minimum course duration of six (06) years.
