Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) - Batch of 2017
3.8
Best Infrastructure, best locality and environment.
Placements: Some of the students continue their Master's course and some are doing jobs in other freelance artistic field work. 70% of the students are placed in jobs and if they do self-studies because there is no direct placement from here. In our department, no company visited. We were specialised as an artist so we do any type creative work.
Infrastructure: Our faculty is average according to me. There are well-maintained classrooms and libraries, exhibiton halls for displaying their works and a lecture theatre. But there is no canteen and hostel rooms are available for students who come from outside.
Faculty: BFA means Bachelor of fine arts. We think and create a lot of creative and innovative ideas. The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They help students in their works. Our faculty has average students and are the ones who were interested in this field.

Good environment and the best college.
Placements: Around 30% of students get placed. The highest package is about 18 LPA, the average is about 10 LPA, and the lowest is 1.2 LPA. Many recruiting companies include UGC and painting companies. Around 40% of students from my department get internships.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is provided by my college. The infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library facilities are very good. The food quality in the mess is very good, and medical facilities are available in my college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is excellent. In my course, there are many curricular activities that help make students industry-ready. The semester exams are pretty difficult, and the passing percentage is about 90%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be best artist in the future. The best thing about my course is that I learn everything about the arts. Events and fests are held from time to time. Connectivity is very good, and scholarships are provided in my college.

It is the Capital of Knowledge.
Placements: Around 120 students were in my batch; they all came from different places and are good. The previous session passed with a 90+ percentage, the lowest it got to was 68, and the average was around 80 percent. Well, we can do Masters, internships, and study abroad. There's so much to learn.
Infrastructure: It provides all the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, lecture theaters, library. On the universe level, it facilitates the health center or hospital, central library for free. The hostel is clean and well-maintained, and there are no health issues. You can go to the gym, play sports, and indoors or outdoors, we play all types of games. There are playgrounds; don't know how big, never measured it.
Faculty: Teachers will help. They are there to help and teach. But you have to put in your own share of effort if you want to do well. The semester could be easy if we were given a proper 6 months; even if we were short on time, we completed 2 semesters in the given time period.
Other: They held events, extracurricular activities, workshops, campus crowds, and Fests are held in every faculty.

One of the best universities, situated in the heart of Varanasi, truly mesmerising experience.
Placements: No direct placements, companies don't directly come to hire. One has to self-analyse and increase your skills and search for a job. People usually go to showcase their bhu degree in Uttar Pradesh and Bengal because there this degree gives you an upper hand over all others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi enabled campus, central library with a lot of books. Not so big rooms in hostels yet very clean and up to the mark. The health center is available for free to students. There are many sports grounds to play. Very big campus with a nearly 4 km radius.

It is a good university, but the course curriculum needs to be revised.
Placements: On-campus placements are not conducted much frequently. Students focus on getting government jobs most of the time, and even some students try to get jobs in freelancing. Most of the students become teachers, and some students work as art directors in Bollywood. Some students start their own design studios, etc.
Infrastructure: The entire campus of BHU has a dedicated Wi-Fi facility for students. Hostels are sometimes fine in terms of hygiene but lack proper food, mainly the food provided by the hostel mess. However, there are some hotels which are famous for their good food. Classrooms aren't much highly maintained, and they just contain some normal benches and fans like in old schools.
Faculty: Teachers here are very communicative, but the course curriculum is way very old, i.e., it contains things which were being taught for 50 years. They didn't include new knowledge so far. We have to study the same old techniques and technologies, which are not at all useful in the practical world.

The college is not too good in any criteria. It is an average college.
Placements: There is no guarantee for placement in this course. But previous year our 2 seniors get placed in Maruti Suzuki company. I am talking about only the sculpture department, and I don't know about other departments. Only 2 out of 12 students got placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. The college provides library facility, but it does not have a good collection, no daily newspaper or magazines. The college does not provide any hostel facility for bachelor department students. Students have to stay in another hostel with other students, and for master students, they provide a small hostel where only 25-30 students can stay. The college library is India's biggest library compared to all fine art institutes.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable. But they provide only practical classes. After the first year, we didn't get a chance to study theory by any professor. So they conduct boring classes. The course curriculum is good and enough for students.
Other: The college administration yearly organises events where students participate in so many programs. Campus surroundings are too good. The campus is lush green and clean. The college does not conduct many extracurricular activities at campus, and it is less than average. Events are organised

Banaras Hindu University MSc Psychology admissions require students to complete BSc in a relevant field. Generally, BSc Home Science is not one of the accepted degrees. Students need to have studied BSc in Psychology or an equivalent course.
