It is a good course with great infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our college is a government institution. Around 90% of students were placed in their desired companies, academic institutions, and others. The major drawback was that you had to go out for interviews in industries for some scientific positions. If you want to start a teaching career, the placement cell had few opportunities like Akash but others were outside the core area. The placement cell was large and it would help you to get placed in a company. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA and the highest salary package ranges from 7 LPA to 8 LPA. Almost 90-95% of students got internships based on their potential. Top roles were research assistant, project associate, clinical research assistant, research and development analyst, research consultant, field research coordinator, and many more. Some of the top recruiting companies were NCBS, IISC, IBAB, Iquvia, Accenture, and other healthcare companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were well furnished with facilities for e-learning and traditional learning. There was access to a departmental library with all the necessary books and there was a huge central library that gave easy access to students and professors with a huge collection of books. Wi-Fi access was reachable and there was a prior application process with the administrative. Laboratories were good and all necessary equipment was available for students to make them ready for the future. I was a day scholar. The hostel was average according to the information from fellow peers. The food served in the mess and canteen was good. Medical facilities were also provided. There were many faculty members for laboratory practicals.
Faculty: Our course curriculum was relevant and it made students future-ready. Teachers were well qualified and knowledgeable. All were doctorates or Ph.D. holders with good experience and exposure in the industry. All teachers were well qualified. This course gave me vast opportunities to choose either stepping into the industry for the future in healthcare industries or into traditional academia by approaching for Ph.D. or research fellow positions. This course gave easy preparation for NET or GATE since it included all topics. Semester exams were easy to pass through direct questionnaires. The pass percentage was 95%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it and to get into the evergreen future like healthcare and biotech. The best thing about this course was the laboratory. There were a few things that needed to improve.
