Our college has good faculty, placements with good packages, excellent living & connectivity.
Placements: Above 90% of students are placed. The remaining students get better offers from off-campus placements. The highest salary package offered in M.Sc. Mathematics is 35 LPA. However, students can get even better from their respective BE degrees. The average and the lowest package offered in M.Sc. Mathematics is 12 LPA and 8 LPA respectively. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Jio, Sprinkler, and many more. On average, above 60% of students get internships every year in companies such as Google, DE Shaw, CISCO, and many more. The top roles offered are data engineer, back-end engineer, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities, particularly for the course, available are good. Wi-Fi speed is very good but has a limit per day for each student. Labs, classrooms, and library are well cleaned and sanitized regularly. The library has every required as well as extra books for each course. Silence is maintained and everyone is disciplined including staff, students, and workers. Hostel rooms are perfectly made for students as per need. Regular sanitation and cleanliness are maintained. Mess food quality is above average, and many canteens are available to students with their menu. Medical facilities are good on the campus. Doctors are available during the day and medical kits are available in each hostel in case any emergency occurs. Special facilities such as gym, playground, small canteen, etc., are provided for students interested in sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly to students. They are well-qualified in their fields, and some are even IITians. The teaching quality is very well. Teachers use boards, PPTs, and models to make studies interesting and effective. The course curriculum is quite good.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested to study mathematics. Group projects and thesis in a particular topic are the best things for me about this course. Although, the course is already great, I wish some research hunt could be organised. Regular events, fests are organised every year. Each student can connect to their seniors or juniors of the same course as well as others.

Review of BITS Pilani - Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: Almost 93% of the students who applied for placement get placed. About 7% of students opted out after receiving off-campus offers. The highest salary package offered by DE Shaw and sprinkler is 50 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5.5 LPA, which is mainly offered by core companies. The average salary package offered is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies like DE Shaw, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Wells Fargo, Jio, Media. Net, etc., visit our college to hire students. Around 40% of students got a summer internship in companies like Google, Microsoft, Cisco, DE shaw, Samsung, etc. The rest students got their 6 months internship through the practice school programme in notable companies like Cohesity, Nutanix, Samsung, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. Top roles like software development engineer, data scientist, data analyst, etc., are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi speed can be termed as good but not so great due to being heavy traffic. Due to this, there is a cap on the daily usage of data. Labs have the required equipment with a new workshop centre opened. Classrooms in a new academic block have a state-of-the-art infrastructure with an air-conditioned facility in every classroom. The library is well-structured with excellent service.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in the department are helpful, with some exceptions. The teaching quality of some professors is of excellent quality, while some are average in delivering the course. The course is equally divided into two categories. Half of the courses are more relevant for higher studies like real analysis, topology, ordinary differential equation, etc. The rest half of the course is more inclined towards computer science like discrete mathematics, graph and network, probability and statistics, etc. This course is quite useful for the SDE role. Exams in BITS Pilani is relatively graded. So, the difficulty level of the paper is high for the end semester exam, but the grading is done relatively. Therefore, grading becomes tough with C grade, which is 6 out of 10 provided on scoring average marks in the course. The passing grade is D, which is 4 out of 10.
Other: I have chosen this course because mathematics is quite in demand in IT Industry. Therefore, mathematics helped me in preparing for SDE roles. The mathematics course structure is such that half of the course is relevant for the computer science field. The inclusion of more CS-related courses like object-oriented programming and machine learning improve the subject demand a lot. Our college organises a fest named Oasis, which is the 2nd largest cultural fest in India, and it is 96 hours continuous event, which will make anyone fall in love with BITS. Technical events like APOGEE is very popular too, where students showcase their technological talents. The campus crowd is very supportive. The club and department culture make it worth being in BITS. The connectivity is poor as the railway station is 25 kilometres away from the college and trains are not so frequent. The bus is of poor quality, and if one wants to get to New Delhi. The average time from New Delhi is 4-5 hours. BITS has a merit scholarship programme in which people whose fathers income is less than 11 lac will be awarded a scholarship based on CGPA.

Amazing college campus life and culture.
Placements: There are many companies providing summer internships like Google, Cisco, De Shaw and many more. Most companies accept students from computer science, along with other branches. They also offer PPO at the end of internship. The placements in general are very good.
Infrastructure: The new classrooms are very clean and equipped with air conditioners. The old classrooms may not be as clean. They also don't have AC. Wi-Fi is available in hostels and the library. But it has a 5 gb daily limit per student. Mess food is average. They provide the full menu for the month in advance.
Faculty: Professors are well versed in their respective courses. They are also very approachable and ready to help. The course structure is updated every semester to cater to the demands of the industry. The semester exams are moderate to difficult, as compared to the level of questions done in class.

If the fee is not an issue, then you can choose BITS Pilani.
Placements: Around 90%-100% of the students got placed from our college. This rate varies as per branch, and for core branches like chemical and civil, you can expect a low placement rate. However, whoever registered for placements got placed. Most of the students are offered PPOs in companies where they did summer internships or got PS before their placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good, and hygiene is not a concern. There is a good mess facility, and at least there should be a variety of food items on the menu. However, there are plenty of food stalls and market places like Pizzeria, ANC and Looters. Wi-Fi facility is available on the entire campus. NAB building is just excellent.
Faculty: If you are in M.Sc mathematics, our college gives grading strictly. However, professors are well qualified and nice to students. Every department has professors, and the staff members are willing to help. CS department is good. The teaching quality is good, but there are a lot of assignments, quizzes and mid semesters. There is no attendance policy.

Indusrty Ready Research-Oriented Curriculum.
Placements: 100% of the people were placed in my course. The highest salary was around 35 LPA and the lowest around 8 LPA and the average being 12 LPA. The top recruiters are Oracle, Intel, D. E Shaw, Sprinkler, Adobe etc. The top roles are for data scientists, data engineers, back-end engineers and quantitative analysts. The average package was around 14 LPA, the highest was 42 LPA and the lowest being 10 LPA. Around 60% of students from my course were offered internships and in Tech companies such as Google, Intel, Samsung, IBM, Publicizes Sapient, Salesforce, Uber etc.
Infrastructure: The hostels allotted are comfortable and clean with all amenities such as table-tennis, mini-gym, snack vending machines, tv rooms, reading rooms, volleyball courts etc. We were given well spaced single rooms with all the necessary furniture and insulation. The classrooms are state of the art with adequate labs for computation and experimentation. We are provided with all necessary software licenses such as Minitab, Grammarly, Matlab etc. Adequate infrastructure for all indoor as well as outdoor sports is provided with excellent coaches. There is a plethora of eating options from snack vendors to restaurants and canteen. The mess food is hygienic and healthy with freshly sourced vegetables.
Faculty: The teachers are top researchers with Ph.Ds from top institutions around the world. They are equipped with all the necessary teaching and research resources. Most of them provide plenty of research opportunities from across disciplines. The curriculum is of global standards with special emphasis on industry requirements.
Other: I chose the course to get insights into applied mathematics and analytic tools. The course has provided me with enough opportunities to pursue my interest in big data and blockchain. I would love to add live projects and case studies to the course along with a little more software training. We have the second the biggest student-run cultural fest Oasis along with the BIts Open Sports meet and Apogee as the tech fest. The people here are smart and well mannered and refrain from disturbing others. There are multiple national and international merit as well as need based scholarships available.

Review of BITS Pilani - Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students got placed in 2018. The highest international salary package offered was 96 LPA by Uber. The lowest salary package offered was around 4 LPA to 5 LPA for the students of the civil department. Placements are decent for IT and finance departments. Placements are average for the core branches.
Infrastructure: The college has a really good infrastructure. The labs are really cool and well-maintained. Wi-Fi available in the hostels is a bit on the slower side. The institute provides awesome sports facilities for all types of sports, and proper equipment is available. The food offered in the mess is decent except for some meals.
Faculty: Most academic departments have exceptional professors. The course structure is updated according to the current industry needs. Slide shows, videos and models are used as a part of teaching. BITS is famous for the practice school system which provides us with industry exposure, and we emerge as the first destination for recruiters. Faculty to student ratio is 1:30 for tutorials.
Other: Our college organises three major fests, sports fest named BOSM, technical fest named APOGEE and cultural fest named OASIS. You have a great time during these fests. The college provides merit-based scholarships for all students and especially those of weaker economic background. The campus crowd is really great, and you encounter people from every possible place of the country.

The infrastructure is good. There is no strict attendance policy.
Placements: Placements of the college were decent. Almost all the students who applied for placements were placed. The highest salary package offered is 45 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA. Students who didn't appear for exams like GRE, GATE, and CAT, etc., were placed in companies from different sectors like core, finance and coding.
Infrastructure: Maximum investment is made to improve the infrastructure of the college. The campus and all the classrooms are newly built, and all the classrooms are air-conditioned. Free Wi-Fi facility is provided in the library. Classrooms are air-conditioned with independent study carrels. Playgrounds are available for all sports like tennis, volleyball, basketball, and football etc. A medical centre is available on the campus.
Faculty: The course curriculum is such that it helps in the all-round development and provides time for other activities as well. The smart class system is followed. The faculty members are very experienced and well versed in their field of expertise. As there is no strict attendance policy, it helps us prepare smartly.
Other: All India second best fest, Oasis is organised with a footfall of more than 2000 members. The campus crowd is friendly, and seniors are helpful. Scholarships are provided for meritorious and needy students.

An honest review about BITS Pilani.
Placements: Placements were excellent. Out of a batch of 900, only about 50 students were unplaced. The average package was 11 lakh per annum, while the highest one was 65 LPA offered by Daikin for a job in Belgium. BITS Pilani doesn't have any official internship drive, so I can't comment on that. There is, however, a program called Practice School wherein a student interns at a company for one whole semester in his/her final year. The allotment is done by BITS only, and reputed brand names like PwC, JP Morgan, Amazon etc. invite these interns. The stipend varies from 10k to 70k per month (depends on the company).
Infrastructure: The Pilani campus has seen its infra completely revamped recently. Hostels have been upgraded with better rooms and better amenities. Labs and classrooms are adequate and have quality infra. There's a playground within every hostel and a giant field for hockey, football and cricket within the campus. There's also a swimming pool, a basketball court and a tennis court. Unfortunately, not everything can be perfect. Food leaves much to be desired in the messes. Although they're run by Sodexo, the food is prepared by Pilani locals, and as such, it's not exactly palatable sometimes. You'll be better off if you feed yourself at the numerous "redis" (or stalls) across the campus or the few restaurants within the campus. As such, I've never faced any infra related issues in my time at BITS.
Faculty: The response to this question depends on your branch. Faculty members in the CS, civil, mechanical, electrical branches are qualified and knowledgeable enough. That's not so true for chemical engineering for instance. The dual degree faculty are terrible for mathematics. Otherwise, they're all decent.
Other: The location is one huge disadvantage. Be it cultural fests or placements, people will be reluctant to visit Pilani because of its godforsaken location. Connectivity is only by road, although there IS a railway station called Loharu some 30 km from Pilani. Trains to Delhi run thrice a day (that's it). Jaipur and Delhi are both 3.5 hours away by road.
