Eligibility criteria is a bachelor's degree in any discipline with:
- 50% marks and participation in the Inter College/Inter Zonal/District/school competition in sports and games as recognised by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India;
- 45% marks and studied physical education as subject;
- 45% marks and having participating in National/ Inter University/ State competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in inter College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India
- Participation in international competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National/inter University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations / AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India

Chandigarh University (CU) has good placement record for BTech, MBA, MCA, etc. While CU has not released any information on the percentage of students placed either course-wise or overall, 2025 placements saw a 9% jump in the total studets placed. For a B.Tech, I would personally choose LPU. In my experience, campus life, exposure, labs, and chances to take part in activities and projects have all been excellent. I believe LPU provides a more comprehensive B.Tech experience overall because there are many clubs and placement chances.

For BTech, the three are not exactly the same, but the core preparation overlaps heavily.
LPU NEST: Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics, with English depending on the programme. The syllabus is essentially Class 11–12 PCM level.
