Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2025

My overall experience of Chandigarh University is a step ahead for my future goals.
Placements: Our batch gets around 10-12 job offers, with 5 of my batch mates taking job offers through campus. The highest is 6 LPA, but most of students try by themselves, and almost everyone gets a job as a junior architect. In my batch, internshipsgot in CP Kukreja Architecture firm also.
Infrastructure: The university has almost everything that our course needs, whether it's the library, workshops, or research workshops, etc. I truly ideas not live in the hostel, but as an architecture student, I suggest opting for your own accommodation as we need much space for study and can't share a room.
Faculty: UIA has good teachers, and all are very cooperative in terms of learning and acknowledging any topic, doubt, or query related to the course or any other. This makes students almost industry-ready, as we need to be more practical toward our work, and exams are also relevant to practical knowledge.
Other: My aim is only to be an architect since my childhood. The campus only has an issue with traveling, but now that too is solved as the campus has its own electric rickshaw to drop everyone here and there. Very good kinds of events are there, and they happen very often in the university level, but for our department, it happens once in the whole year, and it is for 2 days on a great scale. Otherwise, we have different interactive competitions in which everyone can make good bonds with seniors and juniors, including faculty members as well.

Our college has good infrastructure.
Placements: The other courses provide good placement opportunities compared to this course. A few companies visit our college to recruit students. Around 30% of students got placed in our course. The salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA - 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Chayos, TCE, 3SPN, Vast Shilpa, etc. Almost 60% of students got internships. Top roles offered are architect, interior designer, structural engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The ambiance of the architectural blocks is good. Wi-Fi is available in every block, including the hostels. There is a central library that has all the necessary books. The hostel rooms are beautiful. I stay in a 4-seater room with 3 chairs, 1 common table, attached washrooms, 4 cupboards, and an attached balcony. The food served in the mess is average. They serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. They serve breakfast and dinner. Medical facilities are not good.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful. The course structure and syllabus are relevant. They organise various competitions and events which help to refresh our minds. The teaching quality is good. They teach us very well. The exam pattern is satisfying.
Other: I opted for this course because it is one of the best top private universities for B.Arch. They provide non-vegetarian food items in hostels. They provide cafeterias outside the blocks and hostels.

Great college in terms of campus life and academics.
Placements: Mostly in the field of architecture placements are usually based on your work portfolio. But still the placement cell in the university organised a lot of on campus placements from TCE, Chayos etc. About 30% of the students were placed in good firms and MNC's. Average package being 6-7 LPA for freshers which is considered good for corporate architecture jobs. For openings in newer firms as well, a group has been created by the faculty members where information regarding openings is shared on a daily basis.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the university are on par. For academics Wi-Fi, labs, workshops etc. Everything is available for the students to use even after college hours. The university has a central library and workshop where students can go and work with high end machinery. The college even has a special team for publishing patents and research papers helping students. Hostels are also really good, the only down point is that the single seater rooms are only available for international students. Rest there are 3-4 students in every room. Some restrictions are there for going out of the university but overall the facilities and infrastructure is really good.
Faculty: Architecture specially has alot of experienced faculty members who have all done their Masters and some even their phds. The course curriculum is according to the COA guidelines and the quality provided by the teachers is on point. Alot of the faculty members are visiting since they are practicing professionals for enhanced student experience. The semesters are easy if you study on a regular basis, the course is a little demanding and usually not much free time is left on hand but the exams are really easy if you prepare well. Almost all of the students pass.
Other: The campus is beautifully placed close to Chandigarh, campus life is really amazing with functions and events being hosted monthly.

It is an average college.
Placements: Only 1% of students got placed in our course. The salary package offered ranges between 20 LPA - 30 LPA. All recruiting companies are random firms. Many students find their firms or start freelancing in interior design, landscape design, building materials, structure design, architecture drawing, design, and vernacular arch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college. Our college has a lab, a workshop, a library, a studio, etc. The hostel is good, but the location from the college blocks is a little far. It is about 1-1.5 km away from our college. The food served in the hostel is good. If you don't like the food, you can order a new menu. The mess is clean. The food served in the mess is like a buffet. Canteen is on the ground floor of every hostel building. Our college provides an ambulance and a medical center near the hostel. Our college has a sports field with different sports so you can join. There's also a street restaurant that sells good food at affordable prices. All hostel students like it. The hostel has a gym and stationery.
Faculty: Teachers are not much qualified. Some teachers are very good at making the objectives clear. Many teachers are not good. The course curriculum is difficult as it is an architecture course, but you have to not give up and just aim to pass. Our college makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: Our college should decrease the lecture hours. Our college conducts events every week. The CU fest starts in September with a huge crowd. The connectivity is smooth with roads. Roads are connecting to every block. Our college is surrounded by fresh greenery and trees. Our college provides scholarships to students. A lot of extracurricular activities are held in our college.

Amazing place and opportunities for architecture student.
Placements: There are currently no placements in Bachelor of Architecture course. But soon they will be providing placements. For various other courses there are a number of good placements available and the opportunity is also high as there are a lot of companies taking part in the placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available to all the students and can be used at any time of the day. Library has a good range of books. Each department has their own separate library. Hostel has the food facility, you get separate tables and chairs and for architecture students each one can get a drafting table by special permissions.
Faculty: The teachers are well educated and have done their under graduation and post graduation from esteemed Universities. There are various market survey and online surveys regarding different topics so we get a handful of knowledge about the market prices and become industry ready.
