CUSAT offers M.Tech in full-time and part-time modes. The full-time course is of two-year duration with four semesters and the M.Tech part-time course is of three years with six semesters. The PG-course is available in 16 specialisations. Admission to the M.Tech courses at Cochin University is entrance-based.

Aspirants need to fill out the online form (admission.cusat.ac.in) and submit it for being eligible to take admission. However, the seat allotment for each M.Tech programme shall be on the applicant’s GATE score. Candidates without a GATE exam score can take CUSAT DAT/ Sections A and B exam by the Institution of Engineers (India).

Computer Science Engineering is a popular BTech specialisation offered at CUSAT. Aspirants need to qualify CUSAT CAT to get a seat in BTech CSE. CUSAT admission to BTech course is based on CUSAT CAT score. The university also conducts a Lateral Entry Test (LET) to select candidates for BTech (LE) courses. LET is a three-hour test including 200 objective-type questions designed to test proficency in English, Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics and General Engineering.

The university selects candidates for BTech (PT) courses based on merit in the last qualifying exam and admission test conducted by the department. CUSAT also considers the number of years of experience of candidates after obtaining the diploma.
