CUSAT MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2024
Cochin University (or CUSAT) offers MTech (full-time) in 16 specialisations. The MTech specialisations offered are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics, Civil, etc. Admission to MTech courses at CUSAT is through a GATE score. Candidates without a GATE score can appear for the Departmental Admission Test (DAT). For MTech in Marine Engineering, candidates need to pass the A and B exams conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India).
CUSAT University also offers MTech (part-time) in different specialisations as per the official website. But, the current prospectus of the university does not confirm the same.
Cochin University accepts the application of only the candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions. The selection is based on the applicant’s score in the qualifying examination. Find below the detailed information on CUSAT MTech admission eligibility and selection criteria:

Aspirants need to fill out the online form (admission.cusat.ac.in) and submit it for being eligible to take admission. However, the seat allotment for each M.Tech programme shall be on the applicant’s GATE score. Candidates without a GATE exam score can take CUSAT DAT/ Sections A and B exam by the Institution of Engineers (India).
Yes. The Non-GATE entrants can take admission with a valid Department Admission Test (DAT) score or ‘A and B’ exams score conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India). Candidates can apply for the DAT exam by visiting the CUSAT website.
CUSAT offers M.Tech in full-time and part-time modes. The full-time course is of two-year duration with four semesters and the M.Tech part-time course is of three years with six semesters. CUSAT MTech Admission Dates 2024

CUSAT MTech Admission Process 2024: How to Apply?
CUSAT University MTech application process is carried out in online mode. Only the candidates who submit the form successfully shall be eligible to take admission. The below-mentioned steps can be followed for CUSAT MTech form submission:
1. Visit the university admission page (admission.cusat.ac.in) and click on “New Candidate Registration”. The email ID and phone number provided during the registration must be active throughout the MTech admission process.
2. Fill out personal details and reservations (if applicable).
3. Upload a recent passport-size photograph in portrait orientation. Also, a scanned image of your signature in landscape orientation. The images shall be in .png or .jpg or .jpeg format.
- For Photograph – Upload passport size photo with dimensions 150 px X 57 px and file size not more than 500 KB.
- For Signature – File size shall not be more than 100 KB and the dimension should be 130 px X 57 px
4. Select the programme or combination of programmes.
5. After submission of course details, check all the details on the short preview.
6. Pay the application fee through credit/debit cards or net banking. After a successful payment, your form is submitted.
