- The CLAT 2026 5th merit list will be released on May 15, 2026, for admission to the PG-level LLM programme.
- The CLAT 2026 fourth merit list for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) courses is now released. Students must pay the confirmation fee by May 14, 2026, to either float or freeze their allotted seats.
- The DET 2026 entrance exam will be conducted on Jun 28, 2026.
DSNLU Highlights 2025
Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University - DSNLU was established by the Government of AP in Visakhapatnam, under the DSNLU Act, 2008. Initially named 'Andhra Pradesh of University Law' and later changed to DSNLU in 2012. NLU Visakhapatnam or is state-level university that is recognised by the UGC and a member of the AIU.
In 2019 it ranked 18 among all NLUs by the CLAT cut off. Presently, the University offers Bar Council of India approved BA LLB Hons, LLM, PhD, LLD and PG diploma coureses. Apart from the regular classes, the University also conducts moot court competitions for its students. Currently, it has more than 20 visiting and permanent faculty members.

Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 120 seats in BA LLB (Hons) course. Besides, there are 18 extra seats available for students. Out of the total intake, university reserves some seats for reserved category candidates. 50% of the seats are filled as per the rules of Andhra Pradesh state and 40% are allotted on All India Basis. For admission to DSNLU Visakhapatnam for the LLB or LLM course, the result of CLAT 2024 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CLAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for DSNLU Visakhapatnam admission via CLAT counselling and seat allotment.
CLAT 2024 result contains details like the candidate's overall and sectional scores, and merit rank. Those who will qualify CLAT 2024 by meeting the required minimum cutoff as per the merit list are called for counselling process for seat allotment.
Note that for admission to the 5-year LLB or LLM courses, the candidate will have to meet the CLAT 2024 cut-off in their respective category. The CLAT 2024 merit rank list will be shared at the time of admission and seat allotments. Candidates ranked higher in CLAT 2024 merit list will be given preference during the seat allotment process.

Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the second list and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the third list. Those, who have been allotted a seat in the DSNLU Second Provisional Allotment List, must complete the process of exercising any one of the actions mentioned below:

At present, the University offers five basic courses, namely BA LLB (Hons), LLM, PhD, LLD and PG diploma under several specialisations of Law. The duration of BA LLB (Hons) is five years, whereas LLM is a full-time one-year programme offered at the PG level. The minimum duration of PhD and LLD programmes is three years each, on the other hand, the maximum duration of both the programmes is six years each. It also offers PG diploma in collab with CUTM Odisha. To practice law in India you need to clear the All India Bar Exam that is conducted by BCI. Lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India. Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University has a seat intake of 138 for BA LLB (H) course. The seat allotment is done as per the applicants CLAT score and cutoff.
