Review of DIT University.

Placements: I will be completing my B.Tech degree in the year 2025; my degree is in Mechanical Engineering. In my course, the placements are 100%. Every student gets placed with a good package and job role. Companies like Google, Oracle, Bosch, and Honda are some of the top recruiters.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is top-notch, one would say, as the furniture and lighting are all modular. All the classrooms are renovated. All the laboratories are equipped with AC. All high-tech and updated equipment are provided for the students to practice on and learn.

Faculty: The teachers at DIT University are all professionals in their fields with years of experience. They are all well reputed and respected in their field. Due to their experience, they are very well versed with the course material for every subject, and even they design the curriculum themselves, so they are relevant to what is industrial application-based.

Other: The campus life at DIT University is the best there is. The location where the college is located adds so much to the views and feel of the college. The college organizes the annual cultural fest where celebrities are invited and sports fests where various colleges compete. The college is well connected with all basic amenities nearby.

I would be fully satisfied if placement assistance is provided.

Placements: About 20% of the students are placed in mechanical engineering. The average salary package offered varies from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Core engineering companies were very less when we talk about mechanical engineering. Placement records of courses like CSE and IT are very good, even when compared to other colleges.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college and hostel is fantastic and the scenic view it offers is amazing. Facilities given by the administration are average. Library is very modern and is loaded with all the books that would be required by the course. The cafeteria is awesome.

Faculty: Not all, but almost, the faculty is helpful. Teaching quality and methods are good. Some faculty members are very knowledgeable and qualified. The course curriculum is almost relevant. Industrial tour is also very good. Practicals and labs are very good. The examination is not that tough as compared to other colleges.

Satisfied because of good faculty members, quite good placements, good infrastructure.

Placements: The placement is good. About 70-80% were placed in my course. The highest package in my course is 24,00,000 annually and the lowest package is 3,50,000 annually. The average package is 450000 annually. The top roles are from computer Science, sales, or other engineering background. The top companies which had come for placement in my college are Byjus, Wipro, Amazon, Hitachi.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. The surrounding place under campus is so large. Library facility is good and Medical facility is also provide. The hostel infrastructure is also really good and food is really tasty. Sports facility is also good here. Fest, events, activities also organised in this college. Popular celebrities come in the fest every year for 2-3 days. Overall the infrastructure, functions, facilities are so good.

Faculty: The facilities are well qualified and knowledge here. They are so helpful. Their teaching quality is so good. Yes this course curriculum is relevant. In exams you get good marks if you do study enough. They make the students industry ready and prepare us for the interview too.

DIT is the best university if you want to pursue higher education in Dehradun.

Placements: Nearly 40% of students get placed every year. The average package offered for mechanical engineering students varies from 3 to 5 LPA. Companies like Tata Steel, L&T, Mahindra, etc., came here (for mechanical only). On average, 40% of students got internships from various companies.

Infrastructure: DIT University provides one of the best campus infrastructures in Dehradun. The university has Wi-Fi in every block. Classrooms and labs are equipped with projectors for a better education facility. The university has a separate block for canteen, where one can get their favorite food.

Faculty: Teaching at DIT University is one of the greatest jobs. Teachers help students to understand concepts and help them improve their knowledge. Teachers are mostly IIT graduates and are highly knowledgeable. Teaching is one of the best things at the university. The course curriculum offered is quite relevant. It makes the students industry-ready.

Other: I chose it because of my interest in the mechanical department. It helps me clear all my doubts and fills me up with new concepts. A bit of practical knowledge should be provided. Events and fests are well organised.

Dehradun Institute of Technology has good infrastructure and average placements.

Placements: The placements for the mechanical branch were average as there were only a handful of mechanical companies that visited the campus. Around 30-40% of the students in mechanical got placed, and the majority of them found roles in software companies. The average package offered is around 5 LPA. Some companies like Ashok Leyland offered 7 LPA, but some small manufacturing firms offered only 3 LPA. Major recruiters that visited the campus were Secure Meters, Ashok Leyland, Yamaha, SKF etc. The roles offered by these companies were that of management trainee, deputy manager, design officer etc. The internship opportunities offered by the college were even bleaker as only a handful of students got internships from college while the rest had to find internships on their own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is really good, with spacious rooms, hygienic washrooms and a well-designed library. The classrooms have a good seating capacity and the basic amenities like projector, board etc. The library consists of hundreds of books for different courses and is equipped with MAC PCs and good Wi-Fi connectivity. Labs have the latest equipment and machinery in place and provide an enriching means to apply theoretical knowledge into practice. The quality of hostel and mess service provided is also good. There are separate hostels and mess areas for girls and boys, and both are maintained with utmost diligence. The food quality is satisfactory, with varying options throughout the week. There are also sports facilities available on the campus as there are cricket grounds, basketball and handball courts for girls and boys.

Faculty: The majority of the teachers hail from IITs and other prestigious institutes of the country and have good teaching experience. There are a few faculty, mostly teaching assistants, who hold an M.Tech degree and have just started teaching. Some of the teachers are helpful and considerate enough to understand your problems and provide appropriate solutions. However, there are a few who don't offer a good learning experience and aren't much receptive to students' problems. The course curriculum is relevant and is updated regularly to maintain relevance according to the industry. There is more emphasis on imparting theoretical knowledge while less emphasis on practical solutions. Although there are lab sessions scheduled, we get less practical knowledge through that.

Other: I chose DIT for my graduation since I had better access to it, and I felt it had a fairly well ROI. For someone who is aspiring to do B.Tech from DIT, I would recommend doing so only if he hasn't been able to get into IIT Roorkee or GB Pant and if he is a day scholar.
