DIT Dehradun MTech Courses & Fees 2026: Admission Dates & Eligibility

DIT University  admissions are open online for various courses. Till now, no schedule has been released by the university. Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD across various specialisations and aspirants need to apply for courses through the official website.

DIT Dehradun University offers BTech, MTech, MBA, BSc, BDes courses at the UG and PG levels. The college also offers three years of BTech and BPharma Lateral Entry courses. Students can check some of the course-wise eligibility from the table presented below:

The students wanting to pursue Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm) course from DIT University should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board. In addition, the qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised board. Students must also hold the documents or pass certificates at the time of form filling or admission. These documents are required by the university for verification purposes.

DIT University has released the mean package for the year 2024. The overall mean package in 2024 was 5.76 LPA. Also, the mean package recorded during SOET, SOC, School of Management and School of Pharmacy was 4.2 LPA, 6.26 LPA, 4.5 LPA and 3.2 LPA. 

DIT University offers good and standard packages to students. As per the latest report, the participating recruiters offered over 1,450 job offers to the students of the batch 2024. The highest package offered at DIT Dehradun in 2024 stood at INR 58 LPA. Earlier, over 270 recruiters participated in the placement process 2023 at DIT University and presented over 1,270 job offers to the students of Class 2023. The highest package package offered during DIT University placements in 2023 was also INR 58 LPA.

In order to get admission at DIT Dehradun students need to meet the educational qualification set by the university. To know the admission process candidates can check below:

Step 1: Online Application

The mode of application is online for all courses. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission.

Step 2: Selection Rounds

The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. Additionally, candidates who do not have any of the scores mentioned above need to sit and appear for merit-based counselling on DUET followed by PI.

Step 3: Counselling & Admission Confirmation

After the completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for merit-based counselling and document verification. Selected candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their admission.

As per the latest research on external sources, we have found that DIT Deradun alumni are placed in top national and multinational companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, EY, KPMG, etc. They work in various sectors such as Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and more. Of all the sectors, 37% of alumni work in the Engineering sector. Additionally, 15% and 12% of alumni work in the IT and Business Development sectors. Candidates need to submit qualification certificates during the form filling and admission. The important documents required at the time of admission at DIT University:

To withdrawal the application from the hostel, candidates are required to submit their request to the administration department. If the student withdraws before the notified date of commencement of classes/reporting for hostel, only Rs. 1,000/- will be deducted as processing charges and balance shall be refunded. If the student has availed hostel facility even for one day in a calendar month, then Mess & Laundry fee for that calendar month shall be deducted.

In  DIT University, Registration fee of INR 1,250 and Admission Fee of INR 10,000 fees once paid will not be refunded once the payment is done. All withdrawal applications will be processed by the Registrar Office of DIT University on recommendations of the Head, Admissions. Further, In case, the student reports to attend the Programme and subsequently applies for withdrawal, an additional amount of Rs 10,000/- on account of Joining Kit will be deducted over and above from the refundable amount as mentioned in the table provided above. Given below are Percentage of Refund of Academic Fee, along with criteria:

DIT University registration window is currently open. However, the course selection does not mentions Diploma course in the menu. Students are advised to contact the authorities to get more information regarding the same.
