It is a very good college in all the aspects.

Placements: Mostly 90% of students got placed in top-level companies. Top recruiting companies were Simens, L&T, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, HCL, etc. Top roles offered were engineer, industrial engineer, etc. The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA and the lowest salary package was 2.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was world-class. Wi-Fi facility was provided on campus 24X7. Laboratories were equipped with the latest technologies. Library had good reading books and vibrant infrastructure. Facilities and the food provided in the hostel were very good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were kind, helpful, and highly qualified. The quality of teaching was very good and made students think outside the box. The course curriculum was relevant to recent technologies.

Placement is below average. But fee is not too high.

Placements: Placement are still not so good. The highest campus placement pkg of 2023 was 5.40 LPA. Campus placement is also not too good because not many big companies are coming for the campus hiring. Fewer good companies are Very, Sutherland ( for customer service). Congnizant is the good one for campus placement .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Not fully Wi-Fi enabled but dept wise Wi-Fi is there. For core branch like mechanical, civil, Electrical and electronic labs are there but I rarely saw uses of all labs. Coming to hostel facilities it is very good in hostel facilities, securities are good factor, Timing of incoming and outgoing is restricted without permission you can not walk outside from hostel.

Faculty: Semester exam are good, sometime many get fail then they may have to pay fine for retest. Not all the teacher are good but only some are good and highly skilled teacher but some teacher who are mostly newly joined are not experienced and that why students not able to understand .

Other: CSE IT and ECE are famous branch in this college. Most faculty members are good but not all some are irritating.

It's great to have a bachelor's degree from a reputed college.

Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed in our college. Some students got placed in Accenture with the highest salary package of 8 LPA. Many companies visited our college to recruit students.

Infrastructure: As there were few students in our branch so it was easy to interact with staff in different laboratories and gain knowledge. The library had a pleasant environment and had books to get subject and general knowledge. There were varieties in food like North Indian and South Indian, which made it comfortable for students to have their specific one. The food served in the canteen was delicious, and the environment was clean.

Faculty: The interaction between students and the staff was always good and healthy. They were friendly every time. They supported students in sports. During the semester exam, they were always available to help students and clear their doubts. The pass percentage was 50% in external and internal exams.

Other: The course fee depends on students' performance based on intermediate marks. They provide scholarships to students. Many fests and events are held in our college. Students participate and gain knowledge on leadership skills.

Dissatisfied with placements, 15 percent of the batch got placed.

Placements: Hardly 15 percent of the batch got placed, top recruiting companies was L& T, which offered Engineer position, the highest package was around 6 Lacs and the lowest was 3 Lacs to those who got the offer. No internship was mandatory during the year 2013. Later for improving the quality of college some of the courses were dropped.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise, the college had fully functioning labs across all departments. The computer lab department was top notch, with a dedicated robotics lab, and electrical and electronics engineering research lab was also in place. The quality of classrooms, canteen, medical and sports facilities all were upto date.

Faculty: Teachers across all departments were average, though there were exceptions in mechanical and computer sciences department. But teaching quality again was very average. Course were not industry ready, though later the college tried bringing many changes by introducing workshops and certification courses.

Other: I chose this because of its availability during the time of counseling. I wish there is quality faculty in place. Apart from that college supported students in all sort of extracurricular activities and research work too.

Review of DRMGRDU - Dr. M.G.R. Educational And Research Institute.

Placements: The placement cell invites many companies to offer placement to the students. If we have skills, we can get an assured job. But, some of the companies ask for money to offer the placement, because they provide training and work. When compared to other colleges, the placements in our college are better.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. The campus is ragging free. The administration is good. They all respond well. The fee structure for academics is also very low compared to other universities. It is a better college for studies.

Faculty: Teachers, professors and assistant professors in our college are good and knowledgeable. The head of the department is good and gives commands to the students as well as staffs. The course curriculum is updated regularly, and the syllabus also very easy to understand.

Other: Rain is the university programme conducted for staffs and students every year. Prizes are given by the Vice-Chancellor. Departmental events are also conducted every year.

A good college for engineering after SRM and Satyabhama.

Placements: This is a good college for average students, but placements are a bit low like any other colleges. The college is good at providing good knowledge and infrastructure. This college is a south Indian college, but the majority are north Indian students. Thus students of any locality don't face any problems here.

Infrastructure: There are two campuses; one is in Maduravoyal, and another one is at Maduravoyal market. But the infrastructure facilities are good at the main campus. The main campus has a very good playground and sports courts, etc. The library is also available here, and the campus is well-maintained.

Faculty: The college has a few well-knowledgeable faculty members, but a few have just completed their M.Tech. So the college has both good and poor faculty members. Getting good faculty for your class depends on your luck. The main campus has good faculty members and course curriculum.

I thank Dr. MGR University for its helping hands to develop tellents.

Placements: Our college always motivated the students to be entrepreneurs. The placement cell is doing good. Engineering becomes more passionate for science students. Our college provides a lot of placements for students from various engineering streams. Even in the year 2014, they conducted a massive job fair for our own university students. Placement cell gives us time and support to improve ourselves during college life.

Infrastructure: The college has a world-class infrastructure. All the engineering streams have their own blocks. Huge laboratories are available. The library with Wi-Fi facility is available. The most attractive place is garden with a natural environment. Ultimately, the infrastructure is amazing.

Faculty: Not only faculty members, but every staff member is also helpful. The EEE section is one of the best engineering streams of the college, and practically experienced faculty are present for this branch. I believe the course curriculum is based on IIT level. Even if the students belong to a different language background, the faculty members are also pushing them up with great enthusiasm.

Other: Especially, the college hostel and quality of food are too good. I appreciate the helping nature of all staff and faculty. Enthusiastic students are most welcomed here.

Overall, it is a good college in Chennai with good infrastructure facilities.

Placements: The placements are not good in this college, but big companies are coming here which is useful, but we are not satisfied with the salary packages. Reputed companies are coming to our college, but the problem is that the students were not able to take that opportunity as they are not that much qualified.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is nice. The labs and classrooms are average, and Wi-Fi is only for the teaching staff and working staff, but not for students. The library is digitally operated, but out of engineering, no books are available related to other topics. The medical facilities are available free for the college students as this college has their medical college. The sports field are good, there are two canteens, and cafe coffee day shop inside the college. There is a bank and, ATM also inside the college for students.

Faculty: The faculty members of the college are average. They are much cooperative with students and helpful also, but some teaching staff are not satisfactory. The maximum teaching staff uses the Tamil language thus it is a major problem for the North Indian students. The course curriculum of the college is always updated.

Other: I suggest the north Indian students to not to come to the college as they will struggle later with the language problem.
