The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. Candidates who cancel the enrolment after paying the tuition fee before the semester has started. In that case, DTU will refund the tuition fee. Further, if candidate withdrawl their enrolment after paying the tuition fee, and the semester has started. In that case, DTU will not refund the tuition fee except in cases of exceptional unforeseen circumstances mentioned below:
- failure to meet the admission requirements
- lack of residence permit, e.g., if SIRI rejects your application for a residence permit
- pregnancy

No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED, GATE, CAT, MAT and CMAT, among others. DTU and IIT delhi are both topmost universities available in India. The placements given to these university students are also good. The infra is quite good for both the universities, hence the comparison between them is not possible. In the end, it depends on students what is best for them.
