IPU registration for 2026-2027 is open. A few more updates related to GGSIPU admissions are as follows:
- The CMAT 2026 result has been declared for admission to the MBA/PGDM/MMS courses. Students can download their scorecards by logging into the official website.
- The NEET UG 2026 exam has concluded for admission to the MBBS, BDS, and other courses. The results and counselling schedule will be released by the 3rd week of May 2026.
- The NIMCET 2026 application process is now over for admission to the MCA course. The NIMCET exam 2026 will be held tentatively on Jun 6, 2026.
- The CLAT 2026 4th merit list is out for admission to the PG-level LLM programme. Students must pay the confirmation fee by May 8, 2026, to either Float or Freeze their allotted seats.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration portal is now closed for admission to several UG courses. The CUET exam 2026 will be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
- The CUET PG 2026 results have been released for admission to various PG-level courses. The counselling schedule will be out soon.
- The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to ME/MTech/PhD programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).

Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. CUET 2026 application form was available on the National Testing Agency's (NTA) website in February for online submission. NTA conducts CUET Entrance Exam each year for giving admission to various UG and PG programmes at multiple universities.
No, CAT is not the only exam based on which admission is granted. GGSIPU accepts the CAT percentile for MBA admission basis on which a merit list of selected candidates is released for the counselling round. Moreover, for the MBA in IT course, the university conducted IPU CET exam is accepted. In case the seats are left vacant after CAT candidates, then the seat allotment is carried out based on the candidate's CMAT scores.

No, GGSIPU doesn't offer direct admission. IP University does not allow any of the affiliated colleges/institutes/agencies to grant direct admission to any of the courses of the university.
Indraprastha University BTech admission is done on the basis of a valid score of JEE Main or CUET. The university offers BTech for four-years divided into eight semesters. The IPU BTech course selection is done by a centralised counselling of the course.
Getting admission to BTech at IPU University Delhi is not difficult for hardworking students. The IPU University Delhi admissions are based on merit and entrance exam scores. A notification regarding the counselling process through CUET is released when vacant seats are left after all rounds of counselling. Based on details mentioned in the IPU brochure, the IPU CUET counselling procedure could be in the following manner:
STEP 1: Counselling Registeration
Candidates have to register (could be online/offline) for counselling. Details such as the aspirant name, programme code and other details have to be provided during registration. The registration fee is INR 1,500.
STEP 2: Login & Enrol
Login with the ID and password generated during registration to fill out the application. The IPU counselling processing fee is INR 1,000, which has to be paid during the enrolment for participation in the counselling procedure after registration. Fill in the details as asked and take a printout of the form and fee receipt. Document verification is carried out in online mode based on information provided by the candidate during enrolment.

It must be noted that the preference sheet is valid for only one counselling round. Hence, for each round, a new preference sheet must be filled out for each counselling round.
STEP 4: Seat Allocation
After choice filling, seats are allotted to the candidates based on merit, respective category and region. Candidates can be asked to freeze the seat by paying a sum of fee.

The library is well stocked with 67,000 books, 12,000 e-books, 15,000 journals, and subscriptions to 14 online databases. Remote access is available to the students and faculty for the resources along with the WebOPAC facility.
