Students of Civil Engineering Participates in Megalith, 2020
March 2, 2020: Final year student Abhisekh Kumar Dubey of Civil Engineering Department, GIET University represented the University at Megalith, 2020. It is India’s largest annual technical fest conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT). The two-day event was organised between February 29-March 1. Abhishek was honoured for his outstanding performance at the event.
Megalith has achieved considerable popularity in the engineering and corporate sector since it’s inception in 2009.

Placements: I think in GIET University placement scenarios are very good. I think that everybody gets a good package and good placements. I'm not sure, but I think the highest package is of 25 LPA, the lowest package is of 4 LPA. Major companies that visit our campus are TCS, Tech Mahindra, High Radius, etc. The maximum number of students get good internships in many companies.
Placements: I am from the 2024-2028 batch, a Computer Science and Engineering student. Nearly 60-70% of students were placed this year. 22 LPA annual package is the highest in my mind. Accenture and many startup companies are coming for the recruiting. Computer Science students are getting the highest package.
Placements: Only 50 percent of students are placed in our course. The highest package is 3.5 lacs per annum and the average package is 2.5 lacs per annum. Top recruiters are Accenture, Tata, and Polycab. Only 50 percent of students are getting internships from Accenture. The top role offered in our course is practical-oriented programming, which is highly appreciated and it's innovative ways of teaching the equipment are excellent .
Placements: Our college provides good placements. Below average, upper average, and toppers. All are getting placed. At our university, many demanding companies visit to recruit students, such as Infosys, Tata, Mahindra, and Accenture. The students are now well placed with good packages.
Placements: Giet has provided a decent placement. The highest package is around 20 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top companies are Wipro, Infosys, NXT weave, and Tech Mahindra. 90% of students got internships in different companies, and also in our college.
Placements: Over 80% of students in the 1st year belong to the CSE branch. So far, the highest package offered in our college has been 26.5 lakhs. TATA is one of the top recruiting companies. Around 30% to 35% of students do paid internships, mostly arranged through YHILLS by seniors, as seniors receive a commission for placing juniors. The top role offered is Data Science.
