Students of Civil Engineering Participates in Megalith, 2020
March 2, 2020: Final year student Abhisekh Kumar Dubey of Civil Engineering Department, GIET University represented the University at Megalith, 2020. It is India’s largest annual technical fest conducted by the Civil Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT). The two-day event was organised between February 29-March 1. Abhishek was honoured for his outstanding performance at the event.
Megalith has achieved considerable popularity in the engineering and corporate sector since it’s inception in 2009.

Placements: Many students are well set and many are not. Many companies come and give students a chance. We all see that many seniors are well placed and get good packages. Many good companies are coming and all try to give opportunities to all.
Placements: GIET University reports 90 to 95 percent placements across most branches. The highest package reached 26.5LPA while the average is around 3.5 to 4LPA and the lowest package offered is 2LPA. Top recruiters include Zscaler Accenture TCS Wipro Deloitte HighRadius ITC Infotech Jio BP and Infosys. Many students often 70 to 100 percent depending on the branch receive internships in companies like TCS Wipro, HighRadius and Infosys. Placements: GIET is a good college in Odisha. Around 80% of students get placement from our course. In our course, the highest package is 26 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Top companies include TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Zscaler, NXT Wave, and Cognizant. Students get a chance for internships from the 3rd year of the course. The top roles are in the software development and coding fields.
Placements: Our college has great placements. The placement department works hard to ensure all students get placed in top companies. Top recruiting companies such as Wipro, Infosys, Flipkart, and Microsoft visit our college for placements. We also get internship offers from big companies like Wipro and Accenture. Roles such as software developer are offered in our course. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, the minimum package is 5.5 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA.
Placements: Approximately 80% of students in our college get placed in CSE. Many roles are offered, such as developer, tester, and more. In 2024, one of our seniors got a package of 40+ LPA. The lowest package was about 3–3.5 LPA. The average package last year was about 6–6.5 LPA, and this year it is around 6–7 LPA. Many MNCs visit our college, including Accenture, HDFC Bank, Microsoft, Google, TCS, Wipro, and more.
Placements: In the GIET University, the students who got placed through the campus is less. The highest package is 6 LPA to 7 LPA. The average package is 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. The college is not providing an internship to all the students. The top roles offered by the company are machine learning, etc.
