Fruitful journey. Anyone pursuing B.Tech can surely join this course.
Placements: Most of the students pursue higher studies after graduation. The packages start from 3.5 lakhs and go up to 16-18 lakhs, with an average of 5-6 lakhs. Top recruiting companies include Acmegrade, Codeyoung, TCS, ITC Infotech, Federal Bank, ADP, and Nucleii.
Infrastructure: We have every kind of facility needed for an ECE course. Fully functional hi-tech labs, WiFi-enabled classes, and a central library with 3.5 lac books available for all the students. We have hostels and every kind of sports equipment is available. The hostel fee is also very reasonable.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and helpful. They're well experienced and are alumni of prestigious colleges and universities. The course makes the students industry-ready. 85% of students pass the semester exams. Students can score marks by studying for a week.
Other: The university is fun-filled. Except for my own course, I've learnt many things staying here. Culturally rich and diverse. I chose the healthy environment and I'm satisfied with it. The best things in my course include the facilities and the helpful faculty. The focus on competitive exams can be improved here. Although students are industry-ready, we still have issues with the competitive mindset. Hackathons and tech events are included in the course itself so it's very helpful for the student community. Varsity week is the best stage for showcasing talents in every aspect.

Gauhati University GUIST review.
Placements: Almost 70–80 percent of the students were placed. The highest package offered was 13 lpa, and the lowest package was 4 lpa. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Cognizant, and Nuclei. Almost 100 percent of the students got internship in companies like NFR, APGCL, APDCL, ISRO, etc. The top roles offered are data analyst, senior software engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The classrooms are smart and the labs are equipped with all the necessary equipment. Wi-Fi is also available. But the hostel accommodation is not so good for B.Tech students, as there is no separate hostel for B.Tech students.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and they are qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them completed their PhDs at IITs and top institutes. The course curriculum is relevant and it relies mostly on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. Semester exams are difficult and moderate but there are still regular tests.
Other: I chose this course because I have been interested in electronics and robotics since my childhood. Tech fest is held yearly and the name of the fest is "Udhvab.".

Dissatisfied because of some faculty members, average placements in 2023, good infrastructure.
Placements: 40-50% students got placed last year. The highest package offered was 10 lacs, the lowest package was 2.4 Lacs with an average package of 3.5 Lacs. TCS and Byjus are the top recruiting companies. 95% students got internships from the course in various Ed tech industrial companies which were paid.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent infrastructure and awesome labs. You will get Physics lab, electronics lab and IT lab with the facility of AC and various needed instruments. Wi-Fi is provided after the admission. There are lots of books in the library for the students. Canteen is also good and you can eat your meals there. There are lots of opportunities for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful here and have very good qualifications with lots of experience. Their teaching qualities are good but some new faculty members have not much experience so there are some problems also but later on you will understand. From the 3rd semester onwards, the course curriculum is very much industry related. Semester exams are difficult but the passing percentage is 92% and that's a very good number.
Other: I chose this course because of the branch and its placement records. The best thing about this course is that you will be ready for the jobs and foreign internships. The college needs to conduct some good sessions about the job interviews and entrepreneurship skills.

It is an average college.
Placements: The percentage of students get placed from our college is very less. The average salary package offered is about 2 LPA and not more than that. Capgemini recruits students from our course. Very few students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The condition of the hostel is average here. However, it is better than a government hostel, but not much well furnished. Accommodation is also less. Hygiene and discipline are well maintained. Beds and other equipment are also in good condition as our college hostels are newly constructed.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very good. Their teaching style makes us understand every topic, and they teach with enthusiasm. They never fail to explain things repeatedly. They put their maximum efforts all the time and also schedule extra classes if students don't understand the things. Students are assigned with roles of benchers and technical support for our university.
Other: The value for money is not much satisfactory as per the placements. However, in terms of teaching, it is satisfactory.

I am averagely satisfied with our college.
Placements: I am pursuing B. Tech in electronics and communication engineering. The highest salary offered is Rs. 66,666 per month, while the average salary offered is Rs. 41,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Cognizant, TCS, Extramarks, Capgemini and Infosys are the top recruiters of our course. I have no idea about the top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course is 8 LPA, while the average salary package offered is 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. About 79% of the students got internships in DRDO, IOCL, ONGC, BSNL and NF Railway.
Infrastructure: In our university, classrooms are well equipped with fast Wi-Fi facility. Labs and library are also very well maintained, and all the facilities which are not even found in many colleges are available here. Classrooms are equipped with air-conditioners. There is no hostel for engineering students as all the hostels are available for students who are pursuing M.Sc, MBA, M.A, etc. However, there is a girls hostel for engineering. But there is no boys hostel as it may be under construction.
Faculty: All the teachers here are qualified and PhD holders in their respective disciplines. But their teaching quality is just average. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. But sometimes it totally depends upon the students whether they are up to the mark for industries.
Other: I have chosen this course because, from my childhood, I was fond of gaining knowledge related to science and its application. So, this is the only course which provides that knowledge in the field of engineering. The best thing about this course is that I will get to know both software and hardware. Faculty members teach us only exam-oriented things but don't make us compete outside the college. Lots of events are being organised in our college, like Youth fest, Versity Week, etc.

The college is a good place to study in terms of infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 60-65% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 46,666 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 38,033 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 19,166 per month. TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, etc., are the top recruiting companies. The college offers courses like electronics and communication, biotechnology, computer science and information technology. The highest salary package offered was 5.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6.3 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.3 LPA. Students got internships at ONGC, Indian Oil, DRDO, Guwahati Airport, NF Railways, Guwahati.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There are central air-conditioner classrooms. Speed Wi-Fi facility is available here. The library is available, and it is equipped with all types of books, including engineering and related topics. There is no hostel for engineering students. Hostels are provided for postgraduate students. But engineering hostel is available only for girls. There are a lot of paying guests and private hostels available nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are not that much good. Being from Assamese background, teacher's English is very weak. They also put pressure upon us at the time of end semesters by not completing the courses and offering us PDF files at the last moment. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant. But if anyone wants to get ready for the industry, then they must prepare on their own as the college provides very less scope for this field.
Other: I have chosen this course as I was curious about how a single button can do so many things at the same time. These are just engineering brilliance, and I got a interest in this course. I got a hold over physics and wanted to pursue engineering to develop my country and serve it well. The best things involved in electronics and communication engineering is that I get to know about both software and hardware at the same time. I am satisfied with my course, and there is nothing to be improved in it. Many events are organised at our college. The connectivity is also good as we have our college bus, which is free for college students. Overall, the facilities are very good.

GUIST standard B.Tech college.
Placements: Our senior batch who wanted to get placed enrolled themselves into placement interview. Our senior batch had 40% placement in total. The highest salary package was 6 Lacs per annum, average salary offered was 3 Lacs per annum and the lowest salary package was 84,000 per annum. Companies like WIPRO and IT based companies visited. Students hired were offered work as trainee followed by regular staff work, some were offered regular engineer position. No internship from college but workshops are held. There is a placement cell. Useful and they are working.
Infrastructure: High-speed (>5MBps) Wi-Fi available. WLAN connectivity in classrooms giving upto 12MBps. High quality labs with the latest equipments. Classroom okay. Food quality of canteen is average. I'm a day scholar, so hostel condition is unknown to me. No infrastructure related issues I have experienced yet.
Faculty: Qualified and standard teacher. Standard teaching, some are exceptionally good. Regular explanation/ teaching with soft copy of presentation are provided. 1:40 student to faculty ratio. Companies like technomate in collaboration with the colleges organised workshop. Course curriculum was/is useful.
Other: Events: Varsity week, campus well clean, green and provides ambient educational environment.

Dissatisfied because of placement.
Placements: Placement is not up to the mark. Average salary offered is 3lakhs per annum. Yes, we have a placement cell. But the salaries offered by companies are not good.40% of the students get the job. And for the biotech department there is no placement in our institution.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. Classrooms are good. Labs are of below-average standard. Not all computers are good in computer lab. Library is there but there is a lack of books to satisfy the need of all students. Hostel rooms are too small. Medical facilities is very poor.
Faculty: All Faculty members are not good. They can't teach the students well. Yes, they are knowledgeable. But there are no guest faculty members to teach. Student to faculty ratio is 10:1. We don't get industry exposure. Course curriculum is useful.
