HBTU Kanpur Courses & Fees 2025: UG, PG & Doctorate Courses

The application form is generally released by HBTU Kanpur in August month of the academic year. It shall be out in and around the release of CUET result. Moreover, the CUET 2026 application window is expected to be opened soon.

Harcourt Butler Technical University offers admission to the MBA course based on exam score and performance in the selection rounds. The applicants are shortlisted based on CAT/CMAT/AIMA-MAT/CUET-PG scores. Selected candidates are further called for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. HBTU JEE Main cutoff 2024 was concluded for BTech admission. HBTU accepts the JEE Main entrance exam for providing admission to its BTech program. The cutoff was released for different categories of students belonging to the AI and HS quotas. The NTA has released the exam dates for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Paper 1 (BE/ BTech) will be administered between April 2, 2026 to April 9, 2026. The Session 2 registration will open in the last week of January. The applicants are requested to fill the application form available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The university faciliate placement support to the graduates. HBTU has not released course-wise placement report as of now. However, as per a consolidates report of placement 2023, 400 students were placed. The highest package offered to the placed candidates stood at INR 36 LPA. Candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility requirements can apply for this course. Thus, the aspirants with a valid bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Medicine/Sciences/Arts/Commerce/Business Administration/Computer Application or other disciplines as approved by with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PD) or a CPI of 6.0 (5.5 for SC/ST/PD) on a scale of 10 from any UGC/AICTE recognised institute/university are eligible. 

Yes, Harcourt Butler Technical University offer BTech (lateral) programmes. These are three-year courses, wherein students get admission directly in the second-year of the course. To be eligible for BTech (Lateral) course admission, aspirant must fulfil the eligibility requirements.  For BTech Lateral Entry, aspirants need to pass CUET exam and should have a three-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 60% aggregate.

Harcourt Butler Technical University BBA selection is done based on CUET-UG scores. The applicants are admitted as per the academic background and performance in the accepted entrance test.
