Yes, Hindustan University conducts two entrance exams at the university level, i.e., HITSEEE and HITSCAT for all the UG and PG courses. The HITSEEE exam is popularly conducted for BTech admission and it is conducted in two phases. The HITSCAT exam is mandatory for the rest of the UG and PG courses. For PhD admission, the university accepts admission through UGC NET/ GATE valid score.

Yes, HITS offers various scholarships to meritorious students and students belonging to SC/ ST/ EWS category. Recently, the institute also added scholarship schemes for the wards of Covid warriors. All Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science scholarship programmes are mentioned below:

1. SC/ ST Scholarship Government of India: Candidates, who belong to Tamil Nadu and have completed Class 12, are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income of the parents should not exceed INR 1 LPA. The candidates should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources. The scholarship can be renewed every year.
2. Merit cum Means Scholarship: The top scorers in Class 12 are awarded financial aid to pursue their higher studies in HITS. This scholarship is aimed at meritorious students from weaker sections.
3. Sports Scholarship: It gives special importance to the students who have excelled in sports over the years under its Sports Quota.
4. Dr Elizabeth Verghese Founder Scholarship: This scholarship has been instituted to empower girls with academic potential to pursue higher education and who are from lower-income families.
5. Merit Scholarship: The institute offers a tuition fee waiver for meritorious students.

In order to get admission to BTech at Hindustan University, the minimum eligibility criteria is to pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate in PCM as subjects. Those who belong to the reserved category are required to get 45% aggregate. The university also offers admission to BTech (Lateral Entry). The minimum eligibility criteria for the same is to either get a Diploma with minimum 50% aggregate in the branch of Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or graduate with minimum 50% aggregate in Science and Mathematics as one of the main subject. The candidate should fall in the age group from 19 to 22 years.

As per the latest report, Hindustan University recorded 93.94% placements in the academic year 2023-2024. The participating recruiters placed 1,364 students of the batch 2024 in new-age job roles. No, Hindustan University offers admission to all of its courses based on a valid score in the respective entrance exams. For the majority of UG courses from the streams of Science, Commerce, Humanities, Management and Law, the university conducts an in-house entrance exam, i.e., HITSCAT. For BTech course, students can apply via HISEEE, which is also an in-house entrance exam of Hindustan University. Hindustan University offers a three-year LLB course as a professional program. This course is approved by the Bar Council through the School of Law. At Hindustan University, students get to learn the fundamentals of Law with real-time situations and practical implementations.
