Yes, aspirants of HITS BTech course need to take part in HITSEEE counselling. The counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, etc. It generally begins soon after the entrance test result declaration. The seats are allotted during counselling as per the applicants rank secured in the exam.

HITS admit candidates to its BTech courses through HITSEEE counselling. However, it may grant admission through TNEA counselling as well. In 2024, the TNEA last round closing rank was 19791 for BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It is for the candidates belonging to general All-India category candidates. The closing rank further shows that competition has got low as the closing rank was 2295 in 2023.

Hindustan University admit candidates to the BTech courses based on merit in HITSEEE. This entrance test is conducted by the university in online mode every year. The HITSEEE exam include 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There are a total of three sections in the paper - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics comprising 40 questions each. Moreover, the entrance exam is conducted for 1 hour (60 minutes) only.

In order to get admission to LLB at Hindustan University, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate. Admission to LLB at HITS is entrance-based. Aspirants need to qualify for HITSCAT entrance exam, which is an in-house entrance exam of the university. This exam is conducted in online mode in two parts. Yes, National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has ranked Hindustan University in the "Engineering" category. In 2024, it is ranked #113. Additionally, in 2023, it was ranked #101-150 and #151-200 in 2022. The university is also the 9th best among the NIRF ranked colleges in Chennai in 2024. Apart from this, it is also ranked by other ranking bodies, such as Times and India Today. 

Hindustan College of Engineering, established in 1985 is a private college and is located in Kelambakkam, Chennai. The college was conferred the status of a university under the name Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS). It is a deemed-to-be University recognised by the UGC, the AICTE, the AIMA, the SAE International, AIAA,  and is a member of AIU and is accredited by the IAO, NAAC with an 'A' Grade,  and NBA.
