Yes, IIIT Delhi offers MTech across different specialisations. The two-year course is divided into four semesters. All the courses are credit-based programmes. Admission to the courses is entrance-based followed by an interview round. The accepted entrance examinations are GATE, PGCAT-IIITD, and GAT-B. As per the NIRF 2024 ranking under the “Engineering” category, IIIT Delhi ranks 85 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. The total fee for MTech in IIIT Delhi ranges between INR 3.7 lakh and INR 6 lakh. NIT Trichy MTech fee is INR 1.4 lakh. As per placement statistics, the median package is recorded to be INR 18.17 LPA for IIITD and INR 7 LPA for NIT Trichy. Hence, it can be concluded that the fee is higher at IIITD. It must be noted that the fee given for both institutes is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. But, this institute also has got a good ranking as per a recognised ranking body. Thus, if given a choice, IIIT Delhi is a better option than NIT Trichy.

IIIT Delhi offers M.Tech programme at the PG-level. Selection is based on GATE scores and applicants who get seleced have to pay the required fee amount. As seen last year, IIIT Delhi implemented a bonus system where a certain number of bonus points will be added as per specific achievements to your percentile score of JEE Mains. For getting CSE, bonus points are required as a person with 6000 AIR, and 2 Bonus points got CSE in IIITD while a person with 600 AIR who was getting CSE in IIIT Hyderabad did not get CSE in IIIT Delhi because of no bonus points. (For, e. g. if you get even 99.95 %ile in JEE Mains, a person with 98percentile but with two bonus points will be evaluated at a score of 100 (98 + 2) and will be placed above the 99.95%iler in the merit list).
