GATE 2026 Application Form Instructions: Registrations for GATE 2026 exam are now over. Last date to apply was October 13. Form correction window is now closed. The last date to submit edits was November 10. However, GATE correction link was again activated for one day on November 18. IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Test will be held in two sessions- Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).

GATE 2026 Exam Form: Important Points to Remember

Registrations for GATE 2026 exam are now closed. Here are a few things that students must note while filling GATE 2026 application form. For example, check internet connectivity and browser compatibility. Before applying, check GATE 2026 eligibility criteria. Keep all documents ready. All details must be clear and correct, and follow GATE 2026 exam guidelines. Keep GATE 2026 enrollment ID and password safe. Lastly, keep a copy of application form and fee receipt, as it will be required during counselling and PSU recruitment.

Q:   Can I get direct admission to BTech at NIT Trichy?
A:

No, NIT Trichy does not provide direct admission for BTech. NIT Trichy BTech admission is entrance-based. The institute accepts admission to the BTech course through a valid score of JEE Main. Every aspirant needs to qualify for the exam in order to get admission. Selected candidates further need to take part in JoSAA counselling as well. There is no other procedure for admission.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?
A:

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Q:   How to apply for BDes at IIT Guwahati?
A:

All the students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme offered at IIT Guwahati must apply for UCEED first, and then submit a duly filled application to the institute. Each candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years, and the score of the entrance exam is valid only for one year. To apply for BDes, follow the step-wise application process for UCEED demonstrated in the infographic below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UCEED.

Step 2: Click on the "Registration" button and then on "Registration Portal".

Step 3: Register using a valid email ID and enter the required details and submit them.

Step 4: Log in to the registered account to fill out the application form.

Step 5: Choose preferred exam cities (three) and upload the scanned documents.

Step 6: Payment of the application fee and submit the application.

GATE 2026 Application Fees

Q:   How can I get admission in NIT Trichy for MCA?
A:

In order to get admission to MCA course at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates are required to secure minimum of 60% aggregate in a three-year graduation course. Admission to MCA at NIT Trichy is entirely entrance-based. Eligible candidtaes are required to appear for NIMCET entrance exam, which is a common entrance exam for MCA in all the NITS. It'smandatory for every aspirant to qualify the exam with a valid rank. Following that, the qualified candidates have to register for NIMCET counselling process. Later on, the institute will release the rank list of the selected candidates.

Q:   What is the cutoff of IIT Delhi for 2025 admission?
A:

IIT Delhi cutoff 2025 for BTech admission has been released for Round 1. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. During Round 1, the BTech admission cutoffs were between 125 and 5608, with CSE being the most competitive specialisation for admission. Tabulated below are the Round 1 closing ranks of all the BTech and Integrated BTech specialisations offered at IIT Delhi for General AI quota students.

Q:   How can I get admission in BDes in IIT Bombay?
A:

IIT Bombay admission to BDes course includes various steps. Starting with registration to entrance exam, counselling and seat allotment. Before jumping to application, candidates must also check their eligibility. Any candidate who have completed Class 12 can apply for BDes course. 

Step 1: Registration

Candidates need to apply online for BDes course with an application fee of INR 3,800 for open and INR 1,900 for reserved category. The common application form will be available through the IIT Bombay Admissions Portal. 

Step 2: Selection

The selection to BDes course is based on UCEED rank. A merit list is prepared based on UCEED rank of the candidates.

Step 3: Counselling

Once shortlisted, candidates need to register for counselling. The seat are alloted based on the UCEED rank of the candidates. Aspirants must pay the fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

No, GATE questions are not exactly repeated. However, the concept, core, and question format may remain the same. Therefore, candidates must focus on concept-building and practice GATE PYQs as many times as possible. In addition, solve mock test paper to improve accuracy and time management.

Yes, GATE has negative marking for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. In GATE question paper, MCQs will be of one and two marks. Hence, the marking scheme for such questions can be checked below -

NHCE Bangalore accepts GATE score for admission to M.Tech programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants can also get into M.Tech course based on their Karnataka PGCET scores. Selected candidates have to confirm their seat by paying the course fees.
