Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati has closed GATE 2026 rectification window. Authorities had opened edit facility giving chance to candidates for one day on Nov 18. GATE exam dates are announced on official website. Candidates willing to apply for exam can check important guidelines and instructions required while filling out GATE application form 2026.
GATE 2026 Application Form Instructions: Registrations for GATE 2026 exam are now over. Last date to apply was October 13. Form correction window is now closed. The last date to submit edits was November 10. However, GATE correction link was again activated for one day on November 18. IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Test will be held in two sessions- Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).

GOAPS is a portal for performing all GATE related activties. Through the portal, candidates can fill application form, check status, download admit card, check results, etc. Candidates can follow form-filling process below -
- Go to GATE website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in and click on application form portal
- Register to create an enrollment ID and password
- Login and fill in personal, communication, and education details
- Upload documents as per GATE requirements

- Recent photograph of candidate
- Scanned signature of applicant
- Category certificate in PDF format
- PwD certificate in PDF format.
- Dyslexic certificate in PDF format.
- Valid ID proof (Aadhar card/PAN card/Voter ID)

Candidates can check their GATE application form status after submitting their application form. To check GATE 2026 application form status, follow process below -
- Visit official website and navigate to GOAPS portal.
- Enter enrollment ID and password, and click on submit
- GATE 2026 application status will be displayed on screen.
- Check and logout

If you are seeking admission in NIT Surathkal MTech, then GATE is mandatory. Students applying for non-MTech programmes do not need to appear for GATE. For M.Tech however, GATE followed by the centralised counselling is mandatory.

No, students can not get admission in IIT Roorkee MSc with GATE scores. The institute accepts IIT JAM score only. No other tests including GATE are accepted. Students also have to appear for the centralised counselling to get a seat.

IISc Bangalore GATE cutoff 2026 for the ECE course for the General AI category was 650 in round 1. For the OBC AI category, the round 1 cutoff for the same course was 600. This difference in the score says that the competiton for the General AI category was higher than the OBC AI quota.
