Yes, IIT Delhi is a good institute for MSc aspirants. The institute has got a good overall rank from NIRF in the 2023 rankings. It has been ranked at the third spot among top colleges in the country. Moreover, IIT Delhi also provide placements support. As per its 2023 placement report, the median package offered to PG (2-year) candidates was INR 12.50 LPA. Some of the top companies that participate in its placements drive are Microsoft, Cisco, Accenture, etc.

Candidates applying to a MSc course in IIT Delhi must fulfil the required eligibility criteria. Thus, aspirant must hold a valid bachelor's degree in a relevant stream for at least two years (four semesters) and a minimum aggregate between 55% and 80% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.

IIT Delhi MSc fee structure is cumulative of various components, including tuition fees, hostel fees, student welfare fund, alumni fees, training and placement charges, etc. Candidates who get selected have to pay the required admission fees to confirm their candidature. JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 for BTech course ranged from 126 to 5733 for students in the General AI category, so therefore a student should attain a rank of 5733 or preferably lower to increase their chances of admission to IIT Delhi. At end of IIT Delhi Phase 1 placements 2024-25, a total of 1,200 offers were made and 1,150 students were placed. In addition, more than 50 international offers were made during IIT Delhi Phase 1 placements 2024-25. International offers came from more than 15 organisations across multiple global regions. The placement rate recorded during IIT Delhi placements 2023 and 2022 stood at 84.94% and 82%, respectively.

The key highlights of IIT Delhi placements over the past three years are presented below: 

50 students received domestic offers with package more than INR 1 crore per annum during the IIT Delhi placement drive 2023. Further, the highest international package offered during IIT Delhi placements 2023 stood at INR 2.5 crore per annum.
