The total course fee is a cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, medical fees, transport fees, etc. IIT Delhi PhD tuition fee for full-time course is INR 7,500 per semester. In addition, PhD (part-time/sponsored) programmes is INR 17,500. The hostel fee for PhD candidates is INR 13,250. Some other fee such as students distress fund scheme (each semester) of INR 400 and insurance scheme (yearly) fee of INR 500 may also be added in the fee. Along with the application form, certain documents have to be submitted. The aspirants are required to submit scanned copies of below-mentioned documents while filling IIT Delhi application form in online mode:

• First and last pages of Aadhar Card/ Voter ID Card/ Passport
• PAN Card
• Admission offer letter
• Entrance exam scorecard
• Qualifying degree certificate
• Qualifying exam mark sheet
• Category certificate (only in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwD category)
• No objection certificate (only in case of part-time applicants)
• Sponsorship certificate/ Relieving letter (in case of full-time sponsored/ full-time working candidates)

Yes, IIT Delhi accepts GATE/CEED/UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR entrance exam scores for admission to different specialisations offered under the IIT Delhi PhD programme. Candidates shortlisted based on the exam score can be called for an interview round by some of the departments. The accepted exam can vary depending upon the chosen PhD specialisation.

At end of IIT Delhi Phase 1 placements 2024-25, a total of 1,200 offers were made and 1,150 students were placed. In addition, more than 50 international offers were made during IIT Delhi Phase 1 placements 2024-25. International offers came from more than 15 organisations across multiple global regions. The placement rate recorded during IIT Delhi placements 2023 and 2022 stood at 84.94% and 82%, respectively.

The key highlights of IIT Delhi placements over the past three years are presented below: 

IIT Delhi OBC cutoff 2025 for JEE Advanced is yet to be released. However, during the last round cutoff in 2024, the JEE Advanced closing ranks for BTech admission varied between 89 and 3185 in the All India quota. In the first round, the cutoff ranks were more competitive for admission compared to the final round. Therefore, based on last year's cutoff ranks, a JEE Advanced rank of 7000 does not allow for admission at IIT Delhi for any BTech or Integrated BTech courses for students belonging to the OBC AI category.

50 students received domestic offers with package more than INR 1 crore per annum during the IIT Delhi placement drive 2023. Further, the highest international package offered during IIT Delhi placements 2023 stood at INR 2.5 crore per annum. 

IIT Delhi MSc fee structure is cumulative of various components, including tuition fees, hostel fees, student welfare fund, alumni fees, training and placement charges, etc. Candidates who get selected have to pay the required admission fees to confirm their candidature. IIT-Delhi MSc tuition fee range from INR 30,000 to INR 70,000. This fee amount is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 for BTech course ranged from 126 to 5733 for students in the General AI category, so therefore a student should attain a rank of 5733 or preferably lower to increase their chances of admission to IIT Delhi.
