Yes, some of the hostels of IIT Delhi are air-conditioned. However, non-air-conditioned hostels are also available. The hostels are allotted to the students based on availability. Some lecture theatres are also air-conditioned. Apart from this, some common areas on the campus or hostel also have air conditioning or air coolers.

As per the QS World University Rankings, IIT Delhi is the third best institute in India and 174th globally. In the NIRF rankings, it has been ranked at the second spot under the "Engineering" category. Candidates get good placement opportunities. The highest international and domestic package offered was INR 2 crore per annum and INR 1.25 crore per annum. In IIT Delhi placements, 50 students received package more than INR 1 crore per annum (domestic). Thus, it is great if a candidate gets admission at IIT Delhi.

IIT Delhi admission is entrance-based for all the programmes (Except for PG Diploma). For the diploma course, selection is done merit-basis. Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi undergraduate courses. More details around the admission process of some of the courses are provided below:

• Candidates, who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with an aggregate of 75% or above, can appear for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced and JoSAA Counselling to seek BTech admission at IIT Delhi.
• Admission to MTech course is based on merit in GATE exam followed by GOAP counselling.
• For MSc, aspirants need to apply with a valid score of IIT JAM and selected candidates have to further go through CCMN counselling.

It is voluntary to opt for the hostel facility at IIT Delhi. In fact, if a candidate lives within a 15 km radius of the campus, they won't be allotted a hostel room at all. However, the institute houses 11 boys' hostels and two girls' hostels which is enough to accommodate the willing candidates. IIT Delhi has a technologically advanced campus spread across 325 acres of land. For IIT Delhi M.Des admission, candidates must have passed BE/ BTech/ BDes/ BArch or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates are also required to appear for the CEED entrance test.

The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering is 118 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category, one can not afford to score less than this. No, admission to the IIT Delhi courses is entrance-based, except for PG Diploma course. There is no provision for direct admission. For IIT Delhi PhD admission, candidates need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute. Master degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Humanities or equivalent in relevant stream with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility criteria for PhD admission. Eligible candidates can apply by filling out the application form by visiting the official website. The selection is based on merit in CSIR-NET/GATE followed by an interview round.

Candidates applying to a MSc course in IIT Delhi must fulfil the required eligibility criteria. Thus, aspirant must hold a valid bachelor's degree in a relevant stream for at least two years (four semesters) and a minimum aggregate between 55% and 80% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.

For MSc cognitive science/economic courses, the accepted degrees are BA/BSc/BCom/BTech/BE/BStat/BMath or equivalent. The total course fee for MSc course is ranges between INR 30K and INR 3 lakh.
