IIIT Hyderabad Course Admissions 2025: Application, Eligibility, Dates

In order to get admission to IIIT Hyderabad for MTech, students are required to apply via PGEE, CEED or GATE exam for different M.Tech specialisations. Eligible candidates who qualify these exams are offered admission. To be eligible for all M.Tech specialisations, candidates must have passed BE/ BTech/ ME/ M.Tech (all branches), BArch, MArch, PG Degree in Science/ Mathematics/ IT/ Computers/ MCA. Additionally,  at least one year of industry experience in Product Development is required (Waived for fresh graduates with Product Design internship experience - especially ICT-related products) for PDM specialisation. 

International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad accepts JEE Main scores for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Hyderabad JEE Main cutoff 2024, the Round 2 closing rank for CSE and ECE were 1371 and 4391, respectively for the students beloning to the OBC category.

IIIT Hyderabad Cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission on the basis of JEE Main scores. The cutoff was out for B.Tech in CSE and BTech in ECE. The cutoff was released for different categories under the General All India quota. The last round closing ranks for BTech in CSE and BTech in ECE were 1582 and 4350, respectively, for the Geeneral AI category. IIIT Hyderabad offers the flagship Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme in a variety of specializations. The course is a popular programme for students seeking to build a career in Engineering. The total tuition fees for International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad BTech is INR 10 L - 18 L. The year-wise fee for PhD is INR 60,000. Additionally, the deemed university provides financial assistance towards the tuition fees and stipend to all research students (PhD) of good standing. Normally, full financial assistance requires the student to put in 20 hours of work per week. Financial assistance is provided to all the students during the first semester, but it is continued based on good academic performance. Additionally, the institute also offers a monthly stipend ranging from INR 31,000 and INR 35,000 to the PhD students.

Yes, IIIT Hyderabad offers part-time courses as well. The professionals are encouraged by the institute to enroll in the PG programmes on a part-time basis also. IIIT Hyderabad also offers MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes along with a few courses, namely MSIT and PGSSP courses at PG and doctoral levels. For all these courses, admission is also entrance-based. In addition to these part-time courses, IIIT Hyderabad offers degree programmes to its aspirants at UG, PG and doctorate (PhD) levels. IIIT Hyderabad admission is entrance-based for all these full-time programmes. Candidates seeking admission must apply online on the official website and the offerd courses include MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes.

Yes, PDM is offered under the M.Tech specialisation. It is a 2 year Masters program. An applicant to this programme is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Design/Science or Equivalent (4 year programme after class 12) or Masters degree in Science/Computer Applications (2 year programme after 10+2+3) with a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade. The course shall focus on ICT technology oriented product design and management. Hence candidates who apply are expected to have at least 1 year experience in product development (especially ICT related products). Some exposure to design is preferred (engineering design or hardware design or industrial design) but not necessary.
