JNTUK Course Admissions 2025: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

As per the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) admission is based  EAMCET (Engg, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test). However, the university other entrance exams for admission to its UG and PG courses. Tabulated below are cousre-wise entracnec exams accepted by JNTUK: 

There are no minimum scores and ranks required for admission to BTech courses at JNTUK. The ranks and cutoff vary according to the specialisation and seats available at the university. JNTUK MBA is a general management degree. The programme provides students with basic knowledge in managing the general operations of the company. MBA in general management includes subjects like organisational behaviour, quantitative methods, managerial economics, etc.

BTech or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering is a traditional engineering course which provides foundation in computer science and its practical applications. Yes, JNTUK does offer M.Tech courses for a duration of over two-years. The university offers Master in Technology courses through the university and its affiliated colleges. To get admission into JNTUK M.Tech specialisations, candidates are required to qualify for their BTech/ BE and equivalent degrees with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Additionally, the admission process is based on GATE, followed by CCMT counselling, and through PGECET counselling for GATE and PGECET-qualified students.

The CGPA provided for a student by JNTUK is the Cumulative grade point for a student’s overall performance throughout all the semesters in a program. The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e. CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / ΣCi Where Si is the SGPA of the i^th semester and Ci is the total number of credits in that semester.

As per the B.Tech (R16) academic regulations of JNTUK, Kakinada, the following is 
the procedure for the computation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). 

SGPA (Si) = Σ (Ci X Gi) / Σ Ci

Where Ci is the number of credits of the ith course and Gi is the grade point 
scored by the student in the ith course.

The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by
a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e.

CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / Σ Ci

Where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is the total number of 
credits in that semester.

The equivalent percentage can be calculated as per the below formula for the 
B.Tech students who obtains their degrees under R16 regulations ie. 2016-17 
admitted batch onwards (2017-18 batch onwards for lateral entry scheme). 

Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA – 0.75) X 10

Yes, JNTUK offers four-year BTech courses through its affiliated colleges. The fee and seat intake vary from one college to another. However, the minimum eligibility conditions and selection criteria majorly remain the same. Moreover, BTech is available in various specialisations and sub-specialisations such as:

• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering 
• Agricultural Engineering, etc. 

After completing the application submission process, candidates will have to make the payment of the prescribed NATA application fee for enrollment in BArch course at JNTUK. The application fee can be paid using Netbanking / Credit Cards / ICICI Isure Bank Challan.

Note: Candidates need to download the prefilled registration form and procure the necessary registration documents. They would also be required to select a test centre from the official website at a location convenient to the candidate. Approach the test centre for an appointment for NATA. After this, procure the receipt cum appointment voucher from the test centre and take the exam on the scheduled date.

To be admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University's BArch programmes, applicants must first fulfil the basic eligibility requirements before moving on to the secondary eligibility requirements. Accordingly, aspirants must first achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% in their Class 12 from the PCM stream. Followed by valid scores on entrance exams. The university might accept the scores of NATA/ EAMCET for admissions to BArch courses. The university has not mentioned the name of any particular entrance examination for admission to the BArch course.
