JNTUK Course Admissions 2025: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

Yes, JNTUK and its affiliated college offer two-year MBA courses spread over four semesters. To get admission into these courses, candidates are required to complete their Bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% irrespective of any field. Additionally, candidates must have secured a valid score in any of the following- TSICET/ MAT/ XAT, etc., scores + counselling for JNTUK and its affiliated colleges. Moreover, candidates can pursue their MBA courses in dual specialisation through the university and its affiliated colleges. 

Yes, JNTUK does offer M.Tech courses for a duration of over two-years. The university offers Master in Technology courses through the university and its affiliated colleges. To get admission into JNTUK M.Tech specialisations, candidates are required to qualify for their BTech/ BE and equivalent degrees with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The CGPA provided for a student by JNTUK is the Cumulative grade point for a student’s overall performance throughout all the semesters in a program. The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e. CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / ΣCi Where Si is the SGPA of the i^th semester and Ci is the total number of credits in that semester.

As per the B.Tech (R16) academic regulations of JNTUK, Kakinada, the following is 
the procedure for the computation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). 

SGPA (Si) = Σ (Ci X Gi) / Σ Ci

Where Ci is the number of credits of the ith course and Gi is the grade point 
scored by the student in the ith course.

The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by
a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e.

CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / Σ Ci

Where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is the total number of 
credits in that semester.

The equivalent percentage can be calculated as per the below formula for the 
B.Tech students who obtains their degrees under R16 regulations ie. 2016-17 
admitted batch onwards (2017-18 batch onwards for lateral entry scheme). 

Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA – 0.75) X 10

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada offers admission through EAMCET, ECET, GATE, APICET, and GPAT exams. 70% of the seats are reserved for candidates who qualify for the entrance examination whereas the rest 30% of seats are reserved for the management/NRI quota.

To be admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University's BArch programmes, applicants must first fulfil the basic eligibility requirements before moving on to the secondary eligibility requirements. Accordingly, aspirants must first achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% in their Class 12 from the PCM stream. Followed by valid scores on entrance exams. The university might accept the scores of NATA/ EAMCET for admissions to BArch courses. The university has not mentioned the name of any particular entrance examination for admission to the BArch course. Hence, to know more about the accepted entrance examination, candidates can contact to university's admission department. 

No, candidates with 45% in their Class 12 are not eligible to get admission to BArch courses at JNTUK. The university has demarcated the eligibility criteria to get admission into the BArch course i.e., candidates must have completed their Class 12 education with Physics and Mathematics as major subjects, achieving a minimum of 50% marks. In addition, JNTUK is a public university which is rigid in its eligibility criteria and admission process. However, there are chances that the university grants some concession on the minimum percentage required for admission to BArch courses for reserved categories candidates. 

BTech is a UG-level engineering degree program with a duration of four years, which is spread across eight semesters. Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics & Mathematics as major subjects and secured at least 50% aggregate. The courses are offered in various specialisations such as BTech CSE, BTech Civil Engineering, etc.
