The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. University of Kerala conducts an entrance exam for PG courses. Document verification is one of the important admission activities. After the shortlisting process, selected candidates must report to the allocated institute along with the following documents:

• Certificate to prove date of birth
• Transfer Certificate (T C) from the Institution last attended and Conduct Certificate

1. Eligibility for General category: CGPA of 2 or above in a 4 - point scale, 3.5 or above in a 7 -point scale or 5 or above in a 10-point scale.
2. Relaxation for candidates from SC/ST category: CGPA of 1.8 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.15 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.5 or above in a 10-point scale.
3. SEBC Category: CGPA of 1.92 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.36 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.8 or above in a 10-point scale
4. Persons with Disability Category: CGPA of 1.8 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.15 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.5 or above in a 10-point scale.

Yes, Kerala University offers merit-based and need-based scholarships to students. The University of Kerala provides merit-based scholarships to the students of MSc, MA, MCom, MBA, and MCJ programmes. Candidates with a first-class bachelor’s degree in the University exam are eligible for this scholarship. An amount of INR 3,000 is offered each year under this merit-based scholarship scheme.
