SCTCE is good when it comes to academics.
Placements: Honesty, placements are not that good. Core companies rarely show up for Auto, so most of us just end up in mass recruiter IT jobs. SCT is good at academics, but the degree alone is useless. If I don't grind coding or Machines learning on the side, I'm not getting a job.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. Campus is tiny, basically a school with no ground for football. Auto labs are decent, there's alot of KSRTC buses. There isn't any college hostel but college approved private hostels. Facilities are bare minimum but the college is located in a city.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Most of them are highly qualified. Half of them are good at teaching but the other half have massive ego issues. The Auto syllabus is alright. KTU exams are just a scam to give us supplies. I spend more time writing records than actually learning anything.

Affordable government college with strong academics, decent placements and good campus facilities.
Placements: Around 60-70 percent of students get placed in circuit branches. The highest package offered is about 10 LPA, and the average package ranges from 4-5 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. About 40 students secure internships. Software engineer and system engineer are the top roles offered here. The placement unit is one of the best in Trivandrum.
Infrastructure: The college has well-maintained classrooms, adequately equipped labs, campus-wide Wi-Fi, and a library. The mess and canteen food is average with limited options. It has well-maintained classrooms with smart boards and projectors. Laboratories are equipped with the necessary instruments and tools for practical sessions. There is a campus-wide Wi-Fi that supports research and online learning.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant to the core subjects, but students need to do additional self learning and projects to be fully industry-ready. The overall pass percentage is around 85 percent.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in core engineering and the reputation of SCTCE as a government college. The best aspects of the course are experienced faculty members and strong exposure to technical knowledge. I wish they had more industry-oriented training and updated labs.

It is a good college with good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 68 percent of students get placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course as a fresher ranges between Rs. 40,000-50,000 per month. The top recruiting companies for our course are Reliance Industries, Havells, and Siemens. The top roles offered in our course are electrical engineer, design engineer, power system engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a well-maintained campus with smart classrooms, seminar halls, and a vast library with lots of books. Wi-Fi should be provided for each department. There should be separate hostels for both women and men. A canteen and a small cafeteria should also be provided on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They help us to achieve good marks in exams and also encourage us to improve our skills. They are very hardworking and friendly with each student. Semester exams are seen to be a little tough, but teachers help us to get good marks in exams.
Other: I chose this course because I have little interest in the electrical field.

It is an eco-friendly college with all the needed things.
Placements: Around 72 percent of students get placed in our course. Top recruiting companies for our course are Keltron, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Around 80 percent of students got internships from our course in the above companies. The top roles offered in our course are IoT developer, embedded system engineer, VLSI engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college should provide well-maintained smart classrooms, wide labs with all equipment, and a library with lots of books. The college provides separate hostels for both men and women. A canteen should be provided on the campus. A large ground should also be available for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and hardworking. They communicate with us to identify our skills and help us improve our skills in both academics and personal skills. Semester exams are a little tough, but teachers help us get better results for every exam.
Other: I chose this course because I want to explore both hardware and software fields. The college should conduct arts, sports, tech fest, and extracurricular activities to improve our skills.

Teachers here are confidential in maintaining the privacy of students.
Placements: The placement track was quite challenging to understand. A unique set of companies was approached for all the courses. For the course of Chemistry, they approached research, pharmaceutical, fertiliser and chemical companies like Asian Paints, Bharat Rasayan, Tata Chemicals Ltd, Pradeep Phosphates Ltd, Atul Limited, SRF Limited, with average and maximum pay.
Infrastructure: We are restricted from moving from the college without giving any proper notification to the departmental responsibilities, and they, in turn, provide the gate pass for leaving the college in the middle of the day due to emergency situations. By supporting students interested in sports, admitting students into the college based on sports quota and other merit quotas are encouraged.
Faculty: Teachers don't disclose the personal information of the students to others without the students ' consent. Teachers play a major role in creating the best version of every student. Teachers are with mid-value experience, but they are highly beneficial to the students.
