Lucknow University admits entrance tests through UGET, UGPET, PGET, CUET, CUET-PG and JEE Main. Admission to MBA is on basis of LUMET and personal interview. The Basic Teachers Training admission is JEE Main and then followed by UPTU Counselling

Through CUET PG, candidates were permitted to take admission at Lucknow University for MCA course in 2024. As per the Lucknow University CUET PG cutoff 2024, the needed rank to get into the university for MCA course stood at 16804 for the General Home State category. Lucknow University offers several specialisations in BA courses, and the admission procedure for BA courses and its specialisations is similar.
