One of the best NIT, NIRF ranked 12th in 2017, placement is good. Very large campus.

Placements: For my batch the placement session is about to start. But for my seniors as far as I know the placement percentage grew in the last year and it will continue to grow. In M.Tech around 40 out of 50 students got placed. The highest package was around 17 Lacs offered by Qualcomm. The average package was around 7-8 Lacs. Qualcomm, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Huawei, Nokia, Direct, Oracle, General Electric, Veritas, Micro Focus, Teradata, Deloitte, Adobe, Accenture and many more visited the campus last year. The profile offered by the companies includes software engineer, research engineer, data scientist, developer associate etc. Don't know much about the internship but as far as I know many company visited for internship like General Electric which offered internship of around 30K per month for 6 months. Yes there is a placement cell. They are very efficient in their work. Students acts as the placement coordinator in the placement cell.

Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi Facility. LAN Wire is provided in each room of the Hostel which works from 5 PM to morning 8 AM. Labs are very good, infact the Lab which is allotted to do the M.Tech projects are very high tech with the very high range Graphics Card etc. Classroom do have the projectors but only some them do have the AC not all. Free Medical Services is provided to the NITians, there is a Hospital also called CWS Hospital which is also free for the Students. For the sports and games facilities are very good. Swimming Pools is very big. There are two Cricket Stadiums which is also very big. There is a basketball court. In the campus. And in SD Hall (Hostel) there are two basketball court. For Food there are 4 restaurants present in the campus, all of them are good. In the coming year Cafe Coffee Day will be going to open here. There are 4-5 canteens present in the College campus. And One Night Canteen is there in every Hostel which is opened in Night Time for the Hostel Students. The Hostel rooms are very spacious. For M.Tech people One room for one person is given which is very good. One B.Ed and a Table-Chair is provided in the Hostel rooms. The only infrastructure issue I am facing is It is a very big campus and there are 9 Hostels and my hostel is very far from my department. By Cycle it takes around 10 minutes to reach.

Faculty: In the Computer Science Department some of the teachers are very good. 2-3 Teachers are very bad. All the teachers are well qualified, but that 2-3 do not supports the students. Teaching quality of only 2-3 teacher is very excellent others are average in teaching specially to M.Tech students because they thinks that M.Tech people are not kinds they should research by their own. Teaching method is like Visual are showing on the projectors and teachers tries to explain the topics with the help of the visuals. Student to faculty ratio is not good. Faculty members are very less here. In this month 3 faculty members joined in the CS Dept. And hopefully more teacher will join later. Yes I am getting the Industry exposure as my M.Tech project is related to IoT. Overall the curriculum is useful.

Other: There are various events organized by the college like TechFest (Innovision), NITRUTSAV, Sports Fest. And other events like Concert etc. All the events are very enjoyable. You will feel that NIT or IITs are not only for the education, they are good in entertainment also. Hall Day and Garden Feast is organize in each Hostel once in a year for the students. Around 6000 Students are studying here. Campus Surrounding is nothing. The Campus is outside the town so we need to go the Town area to get all the facilities. Transportation Facilities are not good. Auto Rickshaws are there but they take too much money 120 Rs. To go to the Station. M.Tech Students get stipend of Rs. 12400 every month which is very good. So no need of Scholarship. Extracurricular activities happens here in the Student activity center (SAC). There are various clubs for Dance, Singing, Photography etc.

A good college to pursue your bachelor and master degree.

Placements: In the session 2017-2018, the average package of our branch (CSE) crossed over 8 lacs per annum. The highest package offered is 22.2 lacs per annum, and almost 83 companies visited till Feb-2018 for the 2017-2018 session. Most of the companies are interested in those students who are interested in research work related to machine learning, deep learning, IOT (internet of things). In our college there exists a placement cell, which is responsible for training and placement regarding information.

Infrastructure: The labs in the college are well maintained here with a capacity of approximately 100 plus students. Most of the classes have preinstalled projector, and the medical facilities are provided free to students. The library is also well maintained here and always up to date. Our college always organises regular sports tournaments in various sports, and it has a swimming pool, cricket stadium, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court on the campus. The canteen also provides good food at very low price rate, and in hostels, M.Tech guys are allowed in a single room. We have a total of 10 hostels on our campus for students.

Faculty: The faculty members in my college are well-qualified, especially in CSE department. Except for some professors, most of them are very helpful in the college. The teaching quality is up to mark here, and smart classes and labs are organised for teaching method. The student-faculty ratio of the college is 5:1.

Other: Our college organizes two cultural festivals in a year. The campus contains more than 6000 students, and the campus surrounding is not so great. The M.Tech guys receive a stipend of Rs 12,400 per month.
