CPGET Application Form 2024: CPGET 2024 application process has concluded. The last date to fill the CPGET 2024 application form with late fee of INR 2000 was June 30, 2024. Application form was available at the official website of Osmania University. Candidates were supposed to fill the CPGET 2024 application form in online mode. Candidates were supposed to fill the CPGET application form before the last date given on the official website of the exam. Candidates meeting the CPGET Eligibility Criteria as per the programme are required to fill in the CPGET Application Form Online. CPGET 2024 exam will be held on July 5, 2024. Q:   What are the eligibility criteria to apply for CPGET exam 2024?

A:

In order to be eligible for admission into a course, the candidate 

  1. Must have passed the Qualifying Examination and secured the prescribed Minimum Marks in the subject (s) /course (s) concerned as mentioned in the Information Brochure, and
  2. Must have qualified in Common P G Entrance Test conducted in the concerned subject in which admission is sought.
    For administrative reasons, the Convenor may, conduct the entrance test before the publication of the results of the
    qualifying examination concerned. But qualifying at the Entrance Test alone does not confer any right of admission into
    a course. In addition to being qualified at the Common Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if
    he/she passes the qualifying examination before the commencement of admissions process and secure the prescribed
    minimum marks in the subject (s) / course (s) concerned. He / She must submit the necessary documents listed under
    item VII of these instructions at the time of counseling.
 

Q:   When is CPGET hall ticket released?

A:

The Hall Tickets along with entrance schedules and necessary instructions are released on CPGET official websites ahead of the entrance tests. The candidates are supposed to download the Hall Tickets and affix a the latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get itself attested. Without the Hall Ticket (with self attested photograph), the candidate are not allowed to appear for entrance test.

How to apply for CPGET 2024?

The application process for CPGET is divided into four steps. Candidates can follow the steps given below:

  • Registration
  • Fee payment
  • Uploading of documents
  • Filling the application form

Stage 1: Registration

To apply for CPGET 2024, candidates must log on to the CPGET website. After logging in, the candidate has to click on ‘apply online’ tab. Candidates must fill the registration form with correct information and not leave any field marked mandatory vacant. 

A candidate can apply for upto four subjects through one form but they will have to pay fees for each additional subject.

Stage 2: Payment of Registration Fee

On successful registration, a registration ID will be created and shared with the candidate. Using that login ID the candidates can pay the fee, upload relevant documents and fill the application form. The candidate can submit the registration fee to any TS/AP online centres or online payment via credit cards/ debit cards or net banking. The registration fee category wise:

SC/ST/PH INR 600 per subject

The candidate must check all the information before hitting the save/submit key. The candidates are advised to not miss uploading the relevant documents asked as incomplete forms will be rejected. A copy of duly filled form must be saved for future reference.

  • The candidate will have to upload a scanned passport size photograph which should not be older than three months.
  • Candidate will have to upload a scanned copy of his/her signature. 
  • Copy of cast certificate ( if applicable)
  • Copy of PH certificate ( if applicable)

Q:   What is the reservation policy for SC, ST and BC candidates in CPGET exam?

A:

The reservation policy for SC, ST and BC candidates in CPGET exam are as follows: 
Of the total number of seats available in each subject/course, following is the schedule of reservation of seats for these categories.
Schedules Caste- 15 percent
Scheduled Tribe- 10 percent 

 

Q:   Can I get my CPGET admission fee reimbursed?

A:

The reimbursement of fee/scholarship is allowed only for those who pursue a PG Programme for the 1st time. For those who have already pursued any PG Courses (Professional or Non-Professional) will not be provided hostel accommodation in the University/College hostels and will not be considered for any type of scholarship whatsoever, as per GOs in force. As per Govt. of T.S. Social Welfare (Edn) Dpartment Memo the fee/scholarship reimbursement is not allowed to such candidates. Further, the maximum age for the candidates to become eligible for fee/scholarship reimbursement is as per the Government of Telangana rules in force.

 

Q:   When will CPGET exam 2024 be held?

A:

CPGET 2024 exam date has been released by the exam conducting body i.e., Osmania University. CPGET exam 2024 is scheduled to be held on July 5, 2024. After the CPGET exam schedule, the exam conducting body has also released the CPGET application form. To get more CPGET 2024 exam related information, candidates are suggested to refer the Shiksha's page or the official website of the Osmania University. 

 

Q:   What is the admission process of CPGET?

A:

Admissions are conducted through a process of web based counseling. The schedule for certificate verification has been announced at the official website of the exam. Before allotment of admissions, the qualified and eligible candidates have to exercise options through web in the order of their preference. If the admitted candidates in each course should be found less than 10 after the second web options than that course will be cancelled for that academic year.

Candidates interested in applying for the exam are suggested to check the payment status, after completing the payment of the online fee submission for CPGET online application 2024. After the payment process is completed, candidates will receive a reference id. Candidates can check the given below to know about the payment status of the CPGET registration fee 2024.

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of CPGET.
  • Next, candidates need to click on the ‘Check Application Fee Payment Status’ option.
  • Now, candidates need to enter their ‘Qualifying Examination’ hall ticket number and mobile number.

Step 1. Candidates need to go to the official website of cpget.tsche.ac.in.

Step 2. Next, candidates are required to click on the “CPGET Application Correction” link on the page.

Step 3. Now, candidates need to enter their login credentials.

Step 4. Candidates need to click on the edit window and make changes.

Step 5. Now, candidates need to go through the details once again. 

Step 6. Candidates need to click on the “Submit” button.

Step 7. In the next step, candidates need to download the confirmation page for future reference.

CPGET Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria (Arts)

For all the Courses under Faculty of Arts the candidates must have secured the following % of marks or CGPA in their Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates should have passed in the Qualifying Examination with not less than 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • A pass in the Qualifying Examination is sufficient for SC/ST candidates.
  • The candidates passing the examination compartmentally and securing required percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA are also eligible.
  • All the courses are of two years duration.

iii) Must have studied the Arabic language in Bachelor’s Degree either in Part-I or in Part-II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks.
M.A. English Any Graduate
M.A. Hindi i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as one of the Language.
or
ii) Must have studied the Hindi language in Bachelor’s Degree either in Part-I or in Part-II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks
M.A. Kannada i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Kannada as one of the Language.
or
ii) Must have studied the Kannada language in Bachelor’s Degree either in Part-I or in Part-II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks. 
M.A. Marathi i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Marathi as one of the Language.
or
 ii) Must have studied the Marathi language in Bachelor’s Degree either in Part-I or in Part-II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks..
or
 iii) Any Graduate who studied in Marathi medium in 10th or 12th standard.
or
 iv) Any Graduate who studied Marathi, Hindi & Sanskrit as second language in Bachelor’s Degree. 
M.A. Persian i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Persian/Arabic/Urdu as one of the Language.
or
ii) Must have studied the Persian/Arabic/Urdu language in Bachelor’s Degree either in Part-I or in Part-II for at least two years and for a minimum of 200 marks. 
M.A. Sanskrit i) Must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the Language.

CPGET Admit Card 2024 may release in June 2024 by the exam conducting body i.e., Osmania University. The CPGET Admit Card or CPGET acknowledgement card download link will be released at the official website of the exam. Once the CPGET Acknowledgement Card Download Link will be released, candidates who will register for the CPGET exam will be able to download the CPGET Admit Card 2024 from the official website of the exam by entering their login credentials such as their registration number and date of birth.

  • The candidates have to visit the official website of Osmania University, where they will be taken to the homepage of the university.
  • On the right side of the page, in a column, candidates will see a flashing ‘CPGET 2024’ link which will be available under the CET exams section.
  • On clicking the link, candidates will be directed to a new tab on the browser, which will lead to the official website of the CPGET entrance test page.
  • Next, the candidates have to click on ‘download hall ticket’ link. On clicking the link, the candidate will be asked to mention their registration number, date of birth and exam paper for the entrance test.
  • The admit card along with all the details of the candidate will appear. Candidates can download the card for the entrance exam day.

Q:   What is the reservation policy for local and non local candidates in CPGET exam?

A:

The reservation policy for local and non-local candidates in CPGET are as follows:
i) Admission to 85% of the available seats in every course shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area in respect of Telangana. subject to community and other reservations in force.
ii) The remaining 15% of the seats which are open to local and non -locals shall be filled up subject to similar reservation as applicable to 85% local candidates

 

Q:   What is the reservation policy for backward class and EWS candidates in CPGET exam?

A:

The reservation policy for backward class and EWS candidates in CPGET exam are as follows:
Backward Class
Group A- 7 percent
Group B- 10 percent
Group C- 1 percent
Group D- 7 percent
Group E- 4 percent (subject to court decision)
EWS- As per the government orders of Telangana Government.

 

Q:   What is the reservation policy for women candidates in CPGET exam?

A:

Wherever applicable, a minimum of 33.33% of the available seats in each course will be allotted to women candidates from each category, i.e. Open, S.C., S.T. and in all the groups in BC category taking a subject in each college as a unit. This rule is not applicable (i) if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33.33 % or more of the seats therein; and (ii) for seats under various special categories. In the absence of suitable women candidates in the respective categories, these seats shall be filled in with men candidates of the same category. 

 

Q:   What is the registration fee payment process for CPGET?

A:

For registration, the candidates have to visit the websites Website. The registration is complete only when the candidates enter the required primary information including the number of entrance tests to be taken and the requisite registration fee is paid. The registration fee may be paid at any T.S./A.P. online centres or by using Credit / Debit Cards or by Net Banking. Once the registration is completed successfully, the candidate will receive a Registration ID, which should be preserved by the candidate for logging in to fill the online application and for future use, if any.
