As per the AICTE, New Delhi norms, the total seat intake for RGPV M.Tech course is 7921. GPV offers a full-time M.Tech course via its various affiliated and constituent colleges. RGPV M.Tech admission is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), conducted by IIT Kanpur.

RGPV admissions are done on entrance-basis. The basic eligibility requires the candidates to pass Class 12 or its equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% to 60% depending on the course and constituent colleges.  However,  BTech admissions at RGPV are accepted based on a valid score obtained in national and state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advnced, MPPET, etc. followed by counselling. The RGPV BTech admission 2023 is entirely based on JEE Main scores. The entrance exam for the current year has been conducted. Further, as per the last schedule released on the official website of DTE MP, the two rounds of the counselling process for BTech have already been conducted by the counselling body. However, the online registrations are ongoing for the vacant seats. Eligible candidates can apply for the counselling till Sep 9, 2023.
