The entire cost of the four-year B.Tech degree is about Rs. 5 lakh.

Some courses require candidates to appear for entrance exams like TANCET or Common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University. For example, students with a valid GATE score can apply for direct admission to some M.E./M.Tech courses. In order to seek admission to MD and MS programs, candidates need to appear for NEET.

SIMATS does not offer a direct admission to B.Tech. An entrance exam is required.
The admission process for B.Tech is as follows:

• The JEE Mains and TNCE exams are used to provide admission at SIMATS
• Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their enterance exam scores are required to attend counselling sessions where they can select the B.Tech specialisation they want.
• The final merit list is prepared using factors other than JEE, such as 12th standard marks.
