Academic Proficiency Test (APT) 2026
SNUSAT will be followed by APT exam for candidates applying to BTech programs and BS Computer Science. The APT subject combinations application for these subjects include Physics and Mathematics. The duration of APT exam is 60 minutes, with 30 minutes for each subject. The APT exam will include total 40 questions, with 20 from Physics and 20 from Mathematics.

All undergraduate and certain graduate programme admissions at Shiv Nadar University are determined via entrance. National-level entrance tests including JEE Main, SAT, GATE, GMAT, XAT, and others are accepted by the university. For admission to undergraduate programmes, the university administers the SNUSAT entrance exam. Admission to SNU involves a number of steps. Prior to achieving the requirements for the chosen course, candidates must register for the course of their choice. Both entry and merit criteria will be used in the selection process. To grant admission to UG courses, SNU administers the SNUSAT. Additional rounds of selection follow. For UG courses, the university also accepts national entrance tests such as the ACT, CUET, and SAT (College Board). MBA admissions are determined by the GMAT, GRE, CAT, and other tests.
A candidate's passport size photograph in SNUSAT online form should be of 512 KB in JPEG or PNG format. The dimensions should be 200 px tall and 150 px wide. Apart from these, candidates must keep following things in mind:
- white or light-coloured background
- eyes should be open and clearly visible
- shoulder tops and face should be visible
- should be a front-facing picture
- should not be more than six months old
- candidates mustn't wear sunglasses, caps or any accessories in the photograph
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to various courses offered at Shiv Nadar University is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate to 75 percent aggregate, depending on the course selected. Candidates must have a good score in the accepted entrance exams. For that, students must practice TNEA question papers, SNUCEE syllabus, and GATE question papers.
Shiv Nadar University BA admissions are made based on merit in SNUSAT. Thus, interested students must regsiter for SNUSAT exam. Moreover, to be eligible to apply for SNUSAT, students must have passed Class 12 with at least 65 percent marks in aggregate. Also, the students must have have studied English as a mandatory subject in Class 12.

SNU Noida BSc (Research) admissions are purely entry-based. Thus, students seeking admission to this programme must have a valid SNUSAT score. However, the university also accepts other exams such as SAT, CUET, and ACT.
Thus, students must register and appear for one of the aforementioned exams. While filling out the application form, students get the option to choose one of the exams as the basis of admission. Based on these scores, students are ranked and allocated a seat.
Shiv Nadar University offers admission into the following departments of the university:

The BTech courses are offered exclusively by the School of Engineering under Shiv Nadar University. B.Tech course admission requires the candidates to appear for both SNUSAT and APT. Applicants who are interested in other schools need not take the APT. However, those who wish to apply for any programme within the School of Engineering must take two subject tests in Physics and Maths, each lasting for 45 minutes.

Candidates can get admissin to Shiv Nadar University based on any of the four routes. Those who are appearing for CUET will have to fill the screening form to apply for SNU admissions. Along with CUET scores, the varsity will take into account, Class 12 scores.
The SNUSAT exam is conducted in physical mode at Pearson VUE centres. Candidates must appear for the exam in designated test centres that are identified by Pearson VUE. Candidates will find their test centre mentioned on the admit card, Those failing to appear at the designated exam centres will not be allowed to take the SNUSAT exam.
Candidates who fail to carry SNUSAT admit card are not allowed to appear for the exam. SNUSAT admit card along with a photo ID proof is a mandatory document on the exam day.
