SRM (deemed-to-be) University offers BBA programmes for three years’ duration to the students. Spread over six semesters, SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur admission to BBA is based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the last qualifying exam, i.e. Class 12. Based on their eligibility fulfilment, candidates are called for counselling.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance tests. The admission for the flagship programs are held on the basis of SRMJEEE UG exam. Further, SRM MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of SRMJEEM test. The SRMJEEE PG test is conducted for the various SRMIST PG courses. The university also accepts scoring from nationally-held tests like CAT, TANCET, MAT, etc. for admissions.
SRM University conducts SRM JEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Also, direct admission is not valid either. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and M.Tech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam.
To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a preparation strategy to ace the exam.

Candidates looking for course admissions must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. For UG courses, candidates must complete Class 12 and for PG courses, students must complete graduation. Candidates must also fill or attach their scorecard at the time of applying for the respective courses. The university provides direct admission to courses such as BA, BCom, MSc, etc., based on merit of Class 12. Yes, candidates can get admission to BTech without JEE Main score. Admission to BTech course is only based on SRMJEEE score. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate as per the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants must qualify for SRM JEE exam with a valid score. SRM University accepts NCHMCT JEE scores for the candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The institute has released the NCHMCT JEE cutoff for General AI category. The Aforementioned course has the General AI category candidates cutoff of 9978.

The university fee structure is cumulative of several components, such as caution deposit, tuition fee, hostel fee, and more. A few of these components are one-time payable, while some have are charged annually/semesterly. SRM IST Chennai MBA tuition fee ranges between INR 1.9 Lacs and INR 11.5 lakh. Moreover, the one-time fee range between INR 1,200 and INR 11,000 and the hostel charges range between INR 1.45 Lacs and INR 3.3 lakh.

SRMIST offers scholarships to help meritorious students with their academic goals. Further, the university has collaboration with a number of banking & funding organisations to enable students and parents to access scholarship and education loan services. MBA Scholarship for aspirants with UG degrees is 85% and will be given a concession of INR 50,000 in second-year tuition fees. The concession is subject to MBA first-year CGPA of above 8 and no standing arrears and commendable in participative learning. It must be noted that the information mentioned above is as per past years' data.
SRM IST fee refund policy is based on UGC guidelines. Candidates get full refund at any time between the academic year of admission. Candidates are required to submit an application form signed by them t and their parent in person or online for refund. Candidates get refund to their bank provided in the refund request form. The refund will be processed by RTGS or NEFT.
