Thapar University offers a four-year full-time BE/BTech course in Computer Science & Engineering at the undergraduate level. Thapar University admission to BE/BTech courses is both entrance and merit-based. TIET 50% seats will be filled on the basis of candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam and the rest 50% is based on the merit of marks secured in Class 12 or equivalent examination in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject. So, for JEE-qualified candidates, the minimum eligibility is to pass Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ ST candidates). Candidates applying on the basis of their Class 12 marks must have passed the examination with not less than 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates).

Step 1: Thapar University Application Process 2025

The very first step of the admission process is to visit the official website of the University to fill out the application form. The TIET application process is conducted in online mode. Candidates have to register through the official website of TIET to apply for any of the programmes. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the complete TIET application process:

Step 1.1: Visit the official website of TIET. 

Step 1.2: Click on “Admission 2025” and register yourself. 

Step 1.3: Fill out the application form by entering the required academic and personal details.

Step 1.4: Upload a scanned photo of the qualifying exam mark sheet and a passport-size photograph.

Step 1.5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit card or net banking.

Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Test
