It is totally worth the money.

Placements: All the hardworking students get placed in the 2024-25 batch with high packages. Apart from them, many other students get placed with good, satisfying packages. PWC, being a bulk recruiter for UEM, has taken many students with an average package of 10 LPA.

Infrastructure: Unlike many colleges, University of Engineering and Management provides students with a very clean hostel environment to stay. They provide separate buildings for girls and boys. The food provided is healthy and tasteful.

Faculty: Faculty is very helpful towards the professional growth of their students. Most teachers are IIT graduates. They train their students from the very beginning for their professional lives in the job sector. Exams take place in a very professional manner, suppressing any kind of ill means.

It is a good university in term of placements and course curriculum.

Placements: Placements are excellent. Students get a maximum of 3 job offers. Around 4-6 students got placed in this course. Few students opted for higher studies.

Infrastructure: All laboratories are air-conditioned. Classrooms are not air-conditioned. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There is a sports room in this college. We also have a gym facility on our campus. Hostel rooms are great. Washing machines are also available. The food served in the hostel is good.

Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified. All teachers are Ph.D. scholars. They are friendly with students. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Teachers also conduct special classes for placements and exams. Semester exams are moderate.

Other: Our college provides scholarships to those students who secure 95% of marks in their board exams. They also provide scholarships if they submit all valid documents. They also prepare students for various competitive exams like GATE, WBCS, etc. They also conduct classes during the weekend.

Our college provides good placements.

Placements: Only biotechnology companies visit our college for recruitment. It becomes a bit tough for us to get into top companies therefore we have to apply for IT companies. We can also opt for M. Tech or higher studies.

Infrastructure: Laboratories are air-conditioned. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There is a decent library on our campus. Classrooms are spacious. The food served in the canteen is good but the price is not pocket-friendly.

Faculty: All faculty members are excellent. They are helpful in all aspects. The course curriculum is relevant. Few of them have doctorate degrees. Semester exams are difficult.

Other: Our college should invite more companies for recruitment. We have to learn the CSE syllabus before placements so that we can grab jobs easily in the IT sector.

It is a good college with good placements.

Placements: Around 85% of students got placed in our college with the highest salary package of 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Zifo is the top recruiting company. Almost 85% of students got placed in our college. Students got placed in laboratories.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities and infrastructure. Our college has labs. We can do experiments and research-based work in labs. Our canteen provides food. Medical facilities are available in our college.

Faculty: All faculty members are well-educated, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of the teaching is great. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Exams are moderate. The pass percentage is around 85%.

Review of UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management.

Placements: Our college provides only a few placements for our course, so most of the students opted for their M.Tech degree. Many students got placed in IT companies like Zifo and Nestle. You can apply for off-campus placements. Students got placed in Zifo as research data analysts, data simulation, etc. The highest salary package offered in our course is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 2 LPA - 3 LPA. Our college provides internships for research or projects in various pathology labs and other private companies.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities like a lab, a library with books, equipment in labs, etc. The infrastructure of our college is good.

Faculty: Our teachers are quite educated and qualified. They are doctorates. They have great teaching abilities. This course curriculum is relevant for industry-based research. Semester exams are conducted in three phases. We have semester 1, semester 2, and the final semester exams. They include both practical and theoretical exams.

Other: I chose this course because of its huge applications in today's world. It can revolutionise modern-day biomedical sectors, food sectors, and its immense usage in surgeries with the corporation of technology. Our college arranges various biotech events like Biospectrum, poster presentations, debate competitions, research paper analysis, and idea pitching to showcase various skills of students and for their better understanding. Our college conducts various tech-based challenges, literary events, and others to upgrade our skills.

The college is strict, but the placements are bad.

Placements: The college is not at all good for placements. During the time of admission, it was said that 100% placements are provided, but only 40% of the students got placed. For biotechnology, only 1 company visited the campus, and that was for sales. No other company has visited for biotechnology. Overall, the placements are not at all good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Air-conditioners are not available in labs. Wi-Fi facility is available, but it is limited to only 25 Mb per student, which is actually negligible. One room is used accommodates two labs for different subjects. Overall, the infrastructure is average.

Faculty: Some of the faculty members are good, and some are bad. A few of them are very good and help the students. They do everything possible for them, but there are teachers who actually don't like students. Even if they perform well, they cut their marks, and they don't even talk to them properly.

Other: Everything in the college is okay but not placements.

Absolutely satisfied with our University.

Placements: UEM KOLKATA is new and it is on its way to complete its 4th glorious year. Placements will be given to those who deserves it, and the way in which they are grooming up their students, everyone will have a bright future ahead of them. It's worth being a part of this University.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi are available throughout the campus. Classroom are spacious, sufficient for 120 students. Library is good. Medical facility is good and 24*7 available. Indoor and outdoor activities are Ava for all. Labs are well maintained with the latest instruments.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, always ready to help anyone who is in need. Industrial visits are conducted in every semester. Teachers are highly qualified, and they are all best in their own fields. Students to Faculty ratio varies in every department. Interactive session are conducted frequently.

Other: Semester are wonderful because of tech- fest, cultural fest. Workshops are frequently organised for all the students.

UEMK - A gate towards the bright future.

Placements: The placements of IEM group is always good. Pre-placement training is done on a regular basis from the 6th semester. The training is mandatory for all students. Training for aptitude, coding, and other different subjects required for the recruitment process. All are covered in the pre-placement training process.

Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is good with big classrooms. The classrooms are provided with audiovisual systems. The laboratories are well-equipped with instruments of the latest technology and high sophistication which allows the students to get hands-on with the latest technological advancements making the student's industry ready. The central computing facility is provided with approximately more than 350 computers allowing the students to use a computer whenever required. The campus is equipped with high-speed of 121 Mbps bandwidth Wi-Fi internet connection. The campus is under CCTV surveillance. The library has more than 5000+ books from different subjects and domains. The college bus facility is available in every corner of the city. Sports facilities such as table tennis, carrom, football, cricket, basketball, badminton are present with tournaments being held every year. The main part is the highly qualified faculty members are available.

Faculty: The faculty are highly qualified. Most of them from the IITs, NITs and other highly prestigious institutes of the country. The course curriculum is different for different streams. But for the engineering department, the first year syllabus is common for all the branches of engineering. Subjects like ESP (Essential Skills for Professionals) and SDP (Skills Development for Professionals) are compulsory for all the students for making them industry ready.

Other: Annual techno-management fest and cultural fest. International conferences are organised by the college every year. Optronix - international conference on optics and optoelectronics. Biospectrum - international conference on biotechnology and biological sciences SPIE and OSA students chapter is present. Extra curricular activities include dance, music, photography, drama, sports, etc.
