It is one of the oldest and best universities in India and has good faculty members and facilities.
Placements: In our batch, there are 27 students, and everyone got the internship opportunity. According to our interest, we are allowed to apply for various institutes for our internship. Every year, we have been taken to mapping camp or any field trip, which is more useful for our studies.
Infrastructure: The college has a university library and a separate department library in our college. Classrooms are spacious, neat and clean. The hostel is good with the availability of two sharing and four sharing rooms. The food served in the mess is good. Wi-Fi is available in our campus, and lab facilities are the best in our department for our project work.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful in our department. Everyone is kind, and they have specialisation in studies. Our staff are helpful and are good at teaching. They encourage us to prepare for GATE for our future. The course curriculum is relevant. Also, it is a rare course in Tamil Nadu.
Other: I am interested in Marine archaeology, so I chose this course. In our university, there are many scholarships available based on marks, caste, etc.
