Mysore University Placement Overview 2024

The placement drive for the 2024 season at University of Mysore has ended, but the placement report is still pending. In contrast, the NIRF report for 2025 has been published. A total of 2,078 students achieved placements during University of Mysore placements.

A total of 4 students were placed from the other UG 4-year courses, the median package for whom also stood at INR 4.75 LPA.

During the 2024 University of Mysore placement season, out of 8 students a total of 4 students were placed. The median salary offered to UG 4-years program was INR 4.75 LPA. Compared to 2023, the median salary for four-year undergraduate programs decreased from INR 7.5 LPA to INR 4.75 LPA, presenting a decrease of 36.67 %. Out of 73 UG 5-year students 42 got placed with a median package of INR 5.25 LPA. The five-year undergraduate programs saw an increase from INR 4.10 LPA to INR 5.25 LPA, a growth of 28.05%

In all 49 students from PG 1-year were placed during University of Mysore placements 2024 with a median package of INR 2.35 LPA. In all 1983 students were placed with the median package for UG 5-year program was INR 3.80 LPA. For PG 1-year the salary increased from INR 2 LPA to INR 2.35 LPA, indicating an increase of 17.5 %. While PG 2-year students witnessed a modest rise from INR 3.75 LPA to INR 3.80 LPA, a 1.33 % increase.

BCA at the ISME UG program with wonderful experience.

Placements: We have more than 150 recruiters in our college, and we have a package starting from 5 LPA to 9 LPA, depending on the academics. We have an ACCA facilitated course with workshops. Top recruiters are Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Wipro, and federal banks.

Infrastructure: We have enough facilities in our college, and Wi-Fi is available to the hostelers. The cafeteria provides healthy food. We have sports facilities like cricket, football, basketball, and clubs. We have computer labs depending on the course. Cultural club, e-cell, and CSR are provided by our college.

Faculty: We have highly qualified faculty with Master's degrees, and our college provides an industry-oriented program. Attendance is compulsory for semester exams. It is based on the Bangalore University regarding the difficulty level. Internal exams are taken by the college itself.

Other: We have a 12:1 student-faculty ratio, and all students get personalized attention from the faculty.

ISME is a good college with supportive teachers and placements are also good.

Placements: The placement at ISME is good, with about 85%-90% and some students also pursue higher studies, with the highest package of 9 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. The top recruiting company from my course is Gourere Mondelez. The percentage of students who got is up to 70% to 80%.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at ISME is good with modern classrooms, Wi-Fi, computer labs, a well-stocked library, and seminar halls, and hostel facilities are well maintained and clean rooms, 24/7 security, and hygienic food in cafeteria. They have sports facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, the course is useful for jobs, and industry exams are not very hard, most students pass easily. Our university exams are prepared by the Bangalore University, and internal exams are conducted by the university, and projects are also prepared in the last semester.

Other: I chose this course because ISME has good placements and learning. Teachers are very supportive, and the course is practical, and the college fests, events, and sports make campus life fun. The crowd is friendly, the campus is well-connected, and scholarships are also given, and some more industry tie-ups can make it even better.

Not so impressive, but the teaching is good.

Placements: No placements are done, they only said that they would do placements, but only a few placement vacancies are sent through a WhatsApp group. We have to go and try ourselves, there are no campus selections.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college campus is very nice because there is also an engineering college within the campus. However, the hostel is not at all good, so I suggest not joining this college, and students always complain about the hostel because it's not well-maintained.

Faculty: Some of the teaching staff are too friendly, too supportive, and too understanding, but one or two teachers do not even deserve to be teachers and they don't even teach properly. So, I suggest not to join this college as they unnecessarily target students.

Absolutely worth taking admission as the faculty is committed to its work.

Placements: I am a student in the 1st year, all I have seen is that students had their placement cell and it went well, as we got to know from our seniors. The highest package for UG BBA is 9LPA, and the lowest package is 5 LPA. Top companies are Allstate India, ASSA ABLOY, Microsoft, TCS, and KPMG. Placements are there for 75% to 80% and the rest of the students went for higher studies.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are well arranged with full lighting, Wi-Fi facilities are available, labs for BCA students, etc. The library is also okay. The facilities of the hostel are also good. The hostel is on campus, with food facilities available at all three times and evening tea and snacks. Then we have an amphitheatre for students. For the safety of students, a warden is present, and security is monitored.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. Knowledge beyond books and interactive classes with activities and PPTs. The course is relevant, and for us students, the college offers 6 value-added courses, which are helpful for our placement and skill development. The exams are conducted internally and also by the Bangalore University.

Placements: The overall placement rate for B.Tech students is sitting at a solid 93%. Pretty impressive, right now, to get the best offers, it's crucial to keep that CGPA above 7. With some hard work, folks are landing packages around 20 LPA. I even know a senior who scored a whopping 55 LPA. Internships kick off in the 3rd year, and it's not uncommon for students to snag pre-placement offers. The average package hovers around 12 LPA. During internships, big names like Microsoft, Oracle, Texas Instruments, and Uber come to NITK.

Infrastructure: Our course benefits from great facilities and infrastructure. The campus has a central library, Wi-Fi access, and digital classrooms. The hostel accommodation is good, with tasty meals served in both the mess and canteen. There is also a multi-sports complex available.

Faculty: Most teachers are quite experienced and have good qualifications. The set of people most likely to receive support from them is the students who are aimed at job placement. Don't fall for fake marketing.

Placements: The worst placement I have enrolled with is the Business Analytics course, and there are no jobs related to the role. Our placement cell has some policies which force us to give interviews for roles we don't even know about. It's November, and only 2/35 people are placed till today.

Infrastructure: Course structure is undoubtedly up-to-date; it teaches you everything you want to know, but there are a few subjects and classes which are useless and forcefully added to your course. These don't have any connection with your corporate life, which sometimes makes the syllabus lengthy and creates unnecessary pressure on students.

Faculty: Faculty are good; some of them have well-driven knowledge as well as well-experienced corporate experience. You can relate to the faculty and do various extra activities like research papers and others. Faculty members help you with that, but there are a few faculty members who seem to be very rigid, and they seriously don't care about you.
