Integrated Master in Optometry (M.OPT) - Batch of 2030
4.4

The research scope is great here.
Placements: An optometrist role is offered at the initial average salary package that ranges from 4-5 LPA. Students generally get placed in hospitals. People do internships in a nearby hospital, which is linked to the university. Our university has 100% placements, and many of them opt to study abroad for better opportunities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is top-notch, and we will get free Wi-Fi at every building with high-speed. Classrooms are also quite good with projectors. The library offers approximately 20,000 books 24x7. In hostels, rooms are average with good cleaning services. It also offers quite healthy and tasty food.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are PhD holders from other countries. It has many subjects that made the semester quite hard for students, but somehow, students passed exams. Above 90% of students' exams. The course curriculum is relevant, and everything is taught that makes us fit for jobs.
Other: A fest named Sukoon is held every year.

My honest review of my college.
Placements: We have a good placement cell on our campus. Every year, we use to invite them for the campus selection. We used to go for higher studies rather than going for a job, most of us are pursuing a Ph.D. now. Still, we have some opportunities to get a job. The list of companies includes Velammal Educational Institutions, DuPont, and some renowned IT companies. We can do an internship under a professor.
Infrastructure: The course is also vast, and the labs are so good. If anyone wants research, this is the best place to be. So, many labs and many research programs happen here. Seminars from international professors are also very frequent. Exams and labs make a hectic schedule. Exams are very frequent. There are 3 minor and 1 major happen for one subject, with lab exams. The hostel is so good here, and the infrastructure is also very good. Everything is good and clean. Each room has only 2 members, so not a problem at all. Playgrounds are available at hostels. The gym is also there for students, which is very nice. For every semester, the hostel fees are so feasible for everyone.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified. Some teachers are good and some are average. They are interested only when you are interested. The faculty's recommendation is highly valuable to them. We can go anywhere in the world with their recommendation. Only some teachers teach passionately, and others focus more on the syllabus. They are very good teachers, which makes the subject very interesting. They very much help in research areas. There are good digital classrooms where I can easily understand, and I'm also interested in doing lab work. The organisation of the curriculum plays a critical role in helping students. This helps them transfer their learning to new situations.

M.Sc. in Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences - Batch of 2020

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, it is the best university for the M.Sc. in Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences course.
Placements: Almost 90% of students are successfully placed in our Hyderabad University. Our course has the highest package of 37 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3-7 LPA. Recruitment agencies include IMD, IIRS, MoES, and many others. Opportunities for internships are great, with more than 85% of students placed in good companies. The top roles offered are oceanographer, climate modeler, and more.
Infrastructure: It has very fast internet and the best library compared to all the colleges in India. Indira Gandhi Library is one of the best libraries with a lot of books and papers. The hotel quality and facilities are excellent. There are some of the best medical emergency centers on campus, and we also have excellent sports and games facilities.
Faculty: I personally feel that the professors are too qualified. They are well-known people in Communication with wonderful stories, which gives you the chance to expose yourself more and network with some well-known people. Teachers are very supportive and will do everything they can to help you grow. Semester exams are easy, and the pass rate is 90%.

I am fully satisfied with the course and dissatisfied with hostels.
Placements: Placement percentage is 12% - 15%. The highest package is 14 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA. Recruiting companies are Federal Bank and Synchrony. Internship percentage is 20%. Roles and companies are research assistant in IITs, research institutes, RBI, and NABARD. Roles offered are research and data analysis.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in the classroom. Toilets are neat and clean. Facilities available for PWD students. Wi-Fi is available. We don't have a library but a reading room. Hostel facility is not good. Food is not good and insects can be found in the food. We have many canteens on our campus and they are subsidized as well. Medical facilities are available all the time. Sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable also. Their teaching style is good. They provide the lecture slides also. Course curriculum is relevant to the industry needs. The course is rigorous. Semester exams are not very difficult. But one has to study a lot to score good marks. Pass percentage is 80 - 85%.
Other: Course will help me to prepare for CFA. The best thing about this course is its industry-specific. Fest is held once a year. It is a three day event. Scholarships are provided to few students on a merit basis.

Integrated M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2029
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Best affordable university with great amenities.
Placements: As far as I know, you will have a good placement percentage but don't expect a package like 20LPA. If you are well talented, you can surely get placements as many companies will come for placements. The eligibility criteria depend upon the company, and some companies have minimum CGPA but some consider an interview irrespective of your CGPA. As I am still in 2nd semester this much only I can provide information about this section.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is another thing I personally like about this university as everywhere can get ramps for disabled students. Well maintained hostels and different blocks for different branches are there. There is an open theatre for events and a beautiful auditorium for seminars. There will be 24/7 library. Wi-Fi facility is there everywhere. Hostels are also nice and spacious. The food is a bit average.
Faculty: Faculty is not like I don't like them but as they are from different parts of the country everybody has a different style of teaching and slang. For every student, it will be quite difficult to understand their language, especially if the teachers are from North East states. But the curriculum is very helpful for your future. The exams are bit difficult but if you study well you can score easily.
Other: Campus life is one of the best things about this university. There will be many facilities and more greenery where you can feel fresh. Students can make friends all over the country which is one of the best things. You will get scholarship of approximately 1000 rupees for a month. For that, we have to reach certain points to get eligible. The points will be based on your previous semester CGPA and for first semester your 12 marks will be considered, other than this your income and your category points will be allocated. For semester, you will get approximately 4500 to 5000 based on your semester duration. I think everyone has to pay the same amount Rs 7500 in odd semester, and Rs 2500 in even semester. At the time of registration, you have to pay Rs 2500 for hostel and 1500 is refundable.

M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2026
2.4
1Placements2Infrastructure2Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
If you're planning to come here for studying M.A. Economics, please don't.
Placements: There are around 130 students in the M.A. Economics and Financial Economics, and hardly 25 students get any placement. The recruiters are mostly small companies, and the average package is very low. The placement cell is nothing more than an independent students' organisation. Basically, you shouldn't consider this university if you want placement. The same with the internships too, you have to find on your own.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure is very poorly planned and designed. Apart from old and depressing architecture, the locations of different buildings are also not well thought out. Some of the hostels are in the north campus and some are in the south, which are 3-4 km apart. Some departments are in the middle, some are in the east campus (3 km from the north campus), and some are in the south. There aren't enough buses to carry all the students to their respective classes. But, the library is in the middle, somewhat nearer to everyone and it's open 24*7.
Faculty: I must say, for such a highly rated university with a tag of "Institute of Eminence" (which they like to boast about all the time), the professors are pretty mediocre. You'd be lucky if you find one or two good ones. The curriculum is very hectic, especially for Economics students. The exams are also very frequent, you won't get any time to explore what interests you or prepare for a competitive exam. The difficulty level of exams varies, but mostly it's medium.
